The setting is magnificient - by car, you enter an imposing courtyard and in front of you extends a veritable French castle (not the Disneyland version), surrounded by its own golf course and swimming pool.
You should get one of the modern rooms in the west wing annex, which are large and contain most of the amenties a traveller would expect at the prices they charge.
The golf course and the pool are adequate, as is the breakfast served, which is generally included in the room price. However, it may be better to avoid the hotel's Michelin starred restaurant with its sky high pricing, as Burgundy is known for its food, its wine, and its variety of fine restaurants.
The hotel is almost ideally situated to explore the region and its many attractions - the ancient Burgundy capital of Dijon, the "wine city" of Beaune, the Commartin Abbey, the Valley of the Ouche where you can ride an original steam train, the famous wineries, and so much more.More
