“Blessed mountains track timeout”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2013

The restaurant is being run by the place owners, with some pedantic cuisines, made by the chef, and as we heard before our arrival it is just a matter of time until he will be granted with a Michelin star by the way. Some of the cuisines were great and some were just good. The bread was dry a little bit, and the deserts were actually the bad part of dinner, with some creativity looking maybe, but disappointing taste after all, for me personally, even less than a regular pâtisserie on the street.
Basically there were 2 fixed menus, one with 3 dishes for 27euro and the other with 5 dishes for 38euro. for any of them you will have to add the wine and drinks of course. Effectively there was only 1 menu available for us to select as a couple, because the chef wife said to us that the chef doesn't recommend to go for 2 different menus in the same table, due to hot and cold dishes mixture. I didn't really understood it, but hey, who wants to go against the chef recommendation in such restaurant...?
We went for the 5 dishes menu eventually, and we mostly liked the dish of the mediterranee marinee fish with legumes printaniers and roquette sorbet. it was the one both of us mostly liked and was close to masterpiece. bravo chef!!!
Overall it was a nice food experience for us, but not the best you can find in such levels.
if you are in the area, we recommend you to try it...

“Very good food - not chip”

fix menu - only two prices.

For couples, we recommend to try both menus and share both.
Best value for money.

“outstanding food.”

personal touch. The meal was explained in detail in English. We knew what we were eating. In other restaurants we struggled to identify what was on the menu.

“Mountain Splender”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 13, 2012

We had the good fortune of having stumbled upon this marvelous Auberge. The rooms were beautifully appointed - spacious with modern facilities but maintaining old-world charm. The evening meal in the restaurant was absolutely exquisite - well worth the breathtaking (in more ways than one!) drive up to the village of Roure. The hosts, Pauline and Christophe were warm and attentive to our every needs.

“Superb hotel and restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2012

This is a lovely little hotel with superb views of the valley below. The restaurant serves excellent cuisine and the hosts are very friendly. We stopped for the night during a week long cycling trip of the area. The hotel is also popular with walkers. Recommended.
