“Art,Pinot Gris and cheeses with the mountains and bay as backdrop”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

This is one state-of-the-art winery and gallery. It sits on a quiet hillside in Mahana. Formally,a apple orchard,it now has the best art on its walls from owners Philip and father,Toss, along with internationally renowned artists adorn the walls.
But,its the Pinot Gris and especially their Pinot Noir Rose, that had us excited. After tasting some Sav-blanc and riesling ,we were ready for their tasting platter of cheeses and charcuterie bits, whilst looking at the mountains and Tasman Bay........Where is the hammock?

“Brilliant cycling to - and enjoyment of - this fantastic winery”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

So close by cycle or car to Mapua seaside village and Upper Moutere country town. Majestic views, while sipping wines in courtyard, across sculptures and grapes to Kahurangi National Park mountains or Tasman Bay. Lovely art gallery. Laid back country feel yet also smart and modern design.

“Excellent wine tasting and a nice spot for lunch”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

We have been to Wollaston twice for wine tasting and meals. Both occasions were enjoyable and resulted in us leaving with some wine. The setting is pleasant and the platter for two is particularly nice. Future visits are more than likely.

“STUNNING”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

Woollaston has the most stunning view of the Nelson wineries. The service was warm, welcoming, unpretentious and informative. We shared and huge tasting platter of local produce and sat overlooking the rolling vineyards, out to the Sounds and the ocean. Just lovely.
They have live music on the weekends.
