Taking the ferry give great views of the Fjords here though the tour on the boat consists only of some information on the speakers. We had a better Fjord tour in Stavanger with lots of intectivity, probably due to there being competition while here is not much choice.
Keep in mind that the wind is blowing when you are outside, so dress properly or stay inside where you can look out through the glass.
Normally you can take the bus one way, and the ferry the other, however due to some accident in one of the tunnels connecting the two towns, this was not possible during our visit and had to take the ferry both ways.
