A lovely bolthole for a week's writing in a very quiet rural location. Hope to return at some point, perhaps with family to stay in one of the lovely larger houses. Can wholeheartedly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed a week in the Cider Press which exceeded all of our expectations. It is a delightful cottage, tastefully renovated set in beautiful grounds and surrounded by apple orchards. The accommodation is spacious and very comfortable with good quality bedding, towels and kitchen equipment. The fridge is small but perfectly adequate for two people. A BBQ is provided and there are bikes at the cottage which we made use of cycling miles along the country lanes and the disused railway line. The cottage is ideally positioned to visit many of Normandy's famous places of interest such as Le Mont Saint Michel and the Normandy landing beaches at Arromanche. This is a cottage you will want to visit again. A perfect holiday destination which we have already recommended to friends.

We had a wonderful few romantic days snuggled up here keeping warm in winter. Despite the awful weather it was really cosy and conducive to catching up on sleep! We adored the original cider press features which really make it a unique spot to stay in. There was plenty of space for all our things which you don't always get. It's lovely to walk into the local village through the woods and we had great meals out not too far away. We would definitely recommend to anyone else looking for a little French romantic getaway just across the channel!

Our stay at the Cider Press lived up to the very high expectations we had developed from reading previous reviews. We were lucky with the weather and with the other guests staying at the big house and the barn, but even so, the rustic nature of the Cider press, and the surroundings were everything we had hoped for. The description did make it clear that the fridge was small and that there was no oven - it recommends that the Cider Press is best suited for couples who like to eat out. We preferred to lunch out, then have easy dinners with a bottle of wine in the sun after a day of cycling!
All in all it was a perfect week which I would love to repeat as soon as possible.

We found the Cider Press a fantastic place to stay. It is in a fairly remote location and a car is essential but the building was very cosy and well presented, although not the biggest place it was great for a couple. There was a bathroom with good shower, small kitchen area and living area, the bedroom upstairs was also very comfortable. It has great character and the cider press in the middle of the main room was fantatstic! The garden was lovely and we were able to make use of the barbecue and boules which were in one of the other buildings, there were also bikes to use if you wanted to try out any of the nearby cycle routes. I would thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay.
Only negatives are that the fridge in the kitchen was very small but was fine if you were out or shopping on a daily basis. The stairs were a little steep and not really suitable for young children but for a couple this is a great place to stay.
