“Great way to spend a day”
Reviewed November 27, 2013

Had such an amazing experience with the elephants! They are so friendly and are respected and give respect to the trainers. Eddy is a good host and funny. So cool to be up close with these beautiful animals. The ride through the jungle was awesome, and the end where you play and splash in the water with them is unforgettable. They have a person taking photos of everything and you can get a cd with all the shots on it delivered to your accommodation the same night for a couple hundred baht. Well worth it.

“Best of a bad lot”
Reviewed November 17, 2013 via mobile

We have spent a bit of time in chiang mai and seen elephants treated terribly on tours that were pre booked. We booked this before we understood how elephants are trained for tricks and ride as like many other tourists we wanted to ride an elephant. We had a good day and fed the elephants as bathed them as we'll as riding them but they are still chained up a lot of the time and bull hooks are very much used for their training. Don't get me wrong for value it's good and for the day we had it was pretty amazing, but I would say for peace of mind I'd rather have gone to the sanctuary and missed out in the ride because elephants are amazing close up even from the ground. Also we did find out that eddy lends his elephants to other companies to ride with baskets on so I think the way it is advertised- as the elephants all being under his care is more for marketing and not really that honest. Saying that he was a great host and very friendly and polite.

“Must do!”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

Brilliant day out learning how to feed, train and ride the elephants. Friendly staff (and elephants). There were no unnecessary chains on the elephants or any abuse that we could see. It was clear that the elephants really respected their trainers and vice versa.
The highlight if the day was riding the elephants into the river and watching them play and squirt water everywhere!
Fantastic experience and would definitely recommend

“BEST Thailand Elephant Experience: Eddy Elephant”
Reviewed July 14, 2013

A FANTASTIC experience from a knowledgeable Eddy made for an outstanding day
.
Conveniently located outside of Chaing Mai we enjoyed this once-in-a-lifetime experience from Eddy, his family and crew!

There's a lot of love and concern for the elephants, and we were educated, trained, fed, before enjoying an amazing ride on the elephants through the jungle (for almost an hour). The ride concludes in the river for an outrageously fun elephant bathing and people spraying!

An incredible value for the money (1500baht) as we were picked-up in town (8am) by Eddy himself in his new luxury van, and transported to the jungle for a day learning about elephants, learning verbal and physical commands for mounting/dismounting, starting, stopping, and turning, feeding the elephants, and riding. Returned at 5:30p
