Rawee Waree was a perfect selection to spend three days away from the city. The rooms are clean and spacious and the stuff is very nice and welcoming.
The pool is great and the kids had a great time. There are several things do in this area that can easily fill a couple of days. The location of the resort is nothing but a huge advantage if you want to be in a peaceful environment for a few days while traveling around.
Only con is the price of the dishes in the restaurant of the resort. Though food is great, it feels a bit exploiting to charge these prices being the only option to dine.
All in all it was a great stay and would be the first option in a future visit.

This well designed hotel is located about 50Km from the airport. It is right in the centre of the elephant sanctuary, with excellent mountain views. The suites are built like a gated community, but the interior is well designed. Meals and drinks were overpriced, and my request for two tablets of Panafon to treat a nagging headache after a long trip was not well managed - I had to be taken in a golf cart to buy the tablets myself!

Room Tip: Don't stay in rooms too close to the perimeter wall as there is an elephant park nearby,

The hotel is in a very good location for out-door activities, where a big elephan camp and a great Zipline station are just next door.

Stuffs are very helpful and friendly. The accomodations are also very nice, with plants and trees everywhere. Nice big pool and good foods in the hotel restuarant.

Tip: Don't miss the next door Zipline. We went there twice. The langest station was 400 m. crossing a river; beautiful, very impress and good experience.

We spent the last 3 days of our honeymoon here and it was so so beautiful. We were upgraded to a Delux Residential Villa with its own private pool overlooking a river. The villa was fantastic with the most amazing bed and huge bathroom with sunken bath. The staff had scattered rose petals in a heart shape design and also put some in the bath. It was such a fantastic suprise and really made us feel very special. The resort is wonderfull with the biggest swimming pool I have ever seen. Its on 3 different levels and many of the rooms are built around it. There are lots of little walks and at night the place looks like a film set. The restaurant was great and as was the cafe and both were very good value with a great range of thai and western food. The breakfast buffett was superb and we really enjoyed the fresh eggs each morning.

All of the staff we spoke to were brilliant and very very friendly. Whilst we were staying there was a horrible italian guest at the resort who was really rude everytime he spoke to the staff. One morning after his usual shouting, I told our waiter that I thought he was very patient with this horrible man and he smiled. A few minutes later he returned with a flower for me and my partner and said 'thank you for being so nice'.

The resort is next door to a elephant sanctuary and you see them walk by every morning.

I would really recommend this resort as a place to get away for a few days of relaxing and spoiling. It really was like being in paradise.

Room Tip: Riverside villa

Situated about an hour's drive from Chiang Mai, the resort is surrounded by steep rainforested hills with a river at the bottom of the resort. Accomodation consists of villas or bungalows. Our bungalows overlooked the river where a constant stream of elephants (carrying tourists passed by.

The food accommodation ambiance and staff were fabulous.

Room Tip: Request one facing the river

Our room fantastic, right on the river with our own private pool and all the elephants trekking right past us. The Thai food is very good but the western food and breakfast need some improvement. On the whole is was a great, relaxing weekend away.
