“A Great Family Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2012

This restaurant is easy to get to from either Route 6 or HWY 40 or HWY 55 from the Shomron by car or by the Dan Bus Company.

The food and the service is excellent, the waiters are extremely attentive. The Grilled meats are divine and king here with excellent home made in-house pita and Laffas. If you order the salads they bring you about 12 different delicious salads that they keep filling them up when needed.

The meat choices include skewers of lamb kabobs, shishlik, goose liver, beef kabobs and steaks, chicken and fish dishes too. What ever you order you can't go wrong with this restaurant.

While the appetizers, and main course are great, the desserts are very simple. Achla serves mint tea on the house along with a bakalva pastry.

All in all a tastefully decorated restaurant with great food, courteous waiters and real value for the money. You will feelb comfortable taking your family here or guests from overseas.

“Eastern kitchen done well”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2012

The quick way the waiters move is like a ballet. You're amazed by the fact they don't bump into each other more often. The meat is done as it should, the salads are good and fresh and the pita bread made in-house is very good.

“The best, time after time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 25, 2012

We have been going to Achla in Kfar Saba for years and have never been disappointed! The food and service are outstanding, and each time we bring guests from abroad ( or locals) they always request to return. They begin by bringing out at least a dozen different salads and homemade lafa, and as a salad is emptied they offer to refill it! The meat and chicken options are numerous and always come right off the flame and cooked to perfection. Dessert is standard, but they always surprise you with some amazing baklava or seasonal fruit. There always seem to be numerous birthday celebrations complete with the wait staff bringing out a cake with a sparkler and singing Happy Birthday! The staff is always curteous, friendly and smiling. Many of the waiters have been there for years which speaks volumes about the type of management they have. This is a "not to be missed" restaurant if you are looking for real Israeli food, shwarma, steaks and chicken dishes, all better than you can make at home! Our favorite spot...in fact, maybe we will go there tonight!

“Moroccan Dining”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 26, 2012

Seven of us went to the “Achla” restaurant in the Kfar Saba, for Moroccan style food. The restaurant is in a busy industrial part of the city. Heavy trucks compete with passenger cars in the narrow, crowded streets. The entrance is ordinary, but once inside the initial impression changes. Ceilings more than four meters high ensure that sound isn’t reflected and you can talk comfortably with your table partners … even though the place seats more than 200.
The dining room is spotlessly clean and the kitchens, the grill and the bakery are openly visible. You can watch as your food is prepared or see the lavash bread (eshtanur to Israelis) baked by slapping the flat dough up against the inside of the traditional clay ovens.
Within minutes after you order (service is fast and friendly) the table is filled with small dishes of appetizers. That’s when you realize you’re in the midst of Moroccan hospitality. These small dishes hold pickled tomatoes, Moroccan carrots, toasted eggplant with tahina, fried eggplant, salsa, corn salad, tabouli, cauliflower, pickles, egg salad, beets, potato salad, Turkish salad, eggplant salad, red cabbage salad, couscous, pickled cabbage salad, shredded carrots, babaganoush, cole slaw, and felafel. The whole array is served to every table and watchful waitresses or waiters replace the dishes as soon as they are emptied.
Achla is a kosher meat restaurant but serves a full array of meats, fish, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. The meat menu runs the range from chicken kebabs to goose liver shashlik (pieces roasted on skewers). Of course, if anything can be cut into right-sized pieces, it can be skewered and roasted; and there are more than 20 selections.
I tried the two extremes … a lamb kebab (basically a spiced, thick, ground lamb meatball) and a skewer of goose liver. The kebab was NIS 25 and the goose liver NIS 98 ... reasonable prices.
Those delicious, skewered goose liver chunks slid down my throat like silk slipping through my fingers. The ice-cold beer made the meal truly sensual.
Achla doesn’t compete for a Michelin star, but it serves delicious, satisfying, plentiful food with marvelous service. (Good-looking, slim waitresses and waiters.) Besides, if you get hooked on Achla, they have another restaurant in Petah Tikva and one in Eilat.

“The Best Restaurant in Israel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2012

If you come to Kfar Saba (or the area), Pls go and eat at Achla restaurant. I eat in many places (even abroad) but none of it come close to Achla. Their method is unique although in the last years, several other restaurants are trying to do the same (with less luck). At the start of the meal they give you huge amount of small salads, "just to taste". any salad that you finish, they rush and refill it over and over again, until you can breathe no more. what differs Achla from the others is that these salads are very tasty, very fresh and they by itself are kind of a meal (not only tomatoes or eggplants in several versions, you talk here also about egg salad, potatoes salad, rise with sauce, falafel, cabbage salads, corn, carrots, pickled veg and much more, all coming with hot fresh pittas coming out of the taboon) . on top of this, you add what you want to "really" eat. many types of hummus, grilled meat (kosher) or Shawarma, soups, drinks, and even vegeterians stuff. The service is quick n caring. at the end, you get coffee or tea (without asking, as part of the deal), including Baklava. The price is small-medium, very reasonable for what you eat. THIS IS DEFINITELY MY BEST ISRAELI RESTAURANT.
