I had stayed at Lerags last year and wanted to bring my husband back, so when I made reservations for this spring, I was a bit dismayed when I heard the previous owners were no longer there. Not to worry! The house itself is still cosy and comfortable and in a beautiful setting. Nicola's attentiveness is warm and helpful. The kitchen of course was the big concern. Could the new owners produce the same quality of food? The answer I'm pleased to say is a resounding yes. They were also extremely accommodating to food sensitivities which did not seem to inhibit Richard's creativity in the least. No doubt we will return. And if you happen to be in Oban around lunch time, try Coast, owned by the same couple and more proof of their talents both in the kitchen and in the dining room.
