As there is only one review in English so far, I will cover more than in an average review. There are a number of reviews in French, most of which are very positive, as expected there are ( as usual ) a small number of negative reviews.
You are unlikely to be just passing and drop in; we were staying in a nearby village with no facilities so we searched the internet. Having found this, with a good review profile, the next problem was trying to understand when they are open. It is all in French, I can manage a little but the rural French habit of offering differing different hours on different days took some re-reading of the information, then leaving me unsure about which menu applied!
Sat nav easily found the place and street parking was available.
Together with the a la carte, a small number of fixed price menus are offered, we chose the 28.5 euro one. Now to UK minds this seems pricey but post brexit vote and considering the prices in the old part of Lille, this turned out to be extremely good value. There is a cheaper less inclusive one available, considering that I was driving, this may have been a sensible choice.
An appetiser, starter, main and desert were offered with 3 choices over the main.
An alcoholic or non alcoholic appetiser as well as a bottle of wine each. Red or white was the choice, we had both, neither a great wine but perfectly drinkable.
My limited French ( O level - failed and a small dictionary assisted with our selection. We made an error with the starter, a fair bit of offal in a salad-well presented but too strong a flavour for us.
My wife had salmon as a main while I had the pork. We were both impressed by the flavours and the portion size this was not the UK's version of high end with minuscule rations!
Desert was a layered ice creme on a biscuit base and fruit coulis. Again delicious and generously sized.
We concluded that a meal of this quality would have cost us a great deal more in the UK.
If you can identify the main components of the dishes on the French menu, with a dictionary if needed, I can recommend you visit. The reason for my deduction of a full score is the lack of accessibility in English.
