We stayed for one night on a deal that included dinner and breakfast, I am glad it was one night only as I would not stay the second night. After check in we went to the bar and I got a beer in a cracked glass, then when we went to order dinner we were told it did not include any potatoes, chips or veg and if we wanted some we would have to pay extra. There is almost no phone signal at the hotel and the wifi only works in the bar and has a very poor signal. No wifi in the rooms. The room was clean with tv and tea/cofee etc. The bed and the pillows are not the best and I didnt sleep well, I was woke early the next morning with the noise of passing trucks, the hotel is located on a main road. Breakfast could have been better, there was no brown bread to toast and I was served a burnt egg. On a positive not the women that served us dinner and breakfast were lovely..
The deal we got was cheap and I suppose you get what you pay for..

Room Tip: Ask for a room as far away from the road as possible.

We chose the Horse & Hound hotel for its location given an early morning ferry sailing from Rosslaire. At first sight it's rather unprepossessing, but the welcome is warm and the external appearance of the hotel belies the quality of the rooms. The big surprise, however, was the restaurant - simply fantastic both for an evening meal and breakfast. Great quality and great value - really pleased we stayed here!

Booked in for a 2night stay , as soon as we walked in the welcome was so warm and friendly. Our room was spotless and spacious could not ask for better.Every staff member that we met was just so customer focused, the dinner amazing , breakfast amazing and a late order of toasted sambo's fantastic. After a shopping spree in Waterford we arrived back to the hotel and had drinks outside so relaxing, then another amazing dinner. What ever you ask for when your a guest the staff just respond with" that's no problem "A definite well kept secret and we will be staying again. :)

Room Tip: All perfect

We stayed here for 1 night and found the accommodation and the food very good, the dinner was great value and we noticed that a lot of locals eat here and the staff were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Visit the JFK Park which is very nearby and has really beautiful gardens

A friendly welcome at Reception , followed by the surprise of a HUGE room was the start of a great stay. The room was so clean and the decor was modern. There is a reading area, which is well stocked and the furnishings throughout the hotel and public area are beautiful. We had some bar food, which was delicious. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. I had a great sleep in a very quiet room on the ground floor. The breakfast was very impressive. It was self service for juice, cereal & fruit. You can order any variety of cooked breakfast and it was of very high quality.
I would certainly come back and would recommend this hotel as a base to explore Wexford.

Excellent rooms, amazing food and friendly service. Only gripes are that they need to enter the digital age. Poor TV and no WiFi in the room. After a long day I went into the bar had a very nice beer and the batman recommended a Fillet Steak. It was the size of my hand and perfectly cooked with all the trimmings
