We have now stayed at Agriturismo Canale three times and enjoy it more with every visit. The natural beauty is overwhelming. We took frequent walks among the olive trees, marveling at their gnarled splendor. We were told that some of the trees are over 1,000 years old. On one walk we were surprised to see a lone horse (who we later learned was named “Bimbo”) freely wandering in the grove. However, our favorite activity was lounging by the farm’s gorgeous pool and listening to the fountain. There are many opportunities to enjoy the stunning surroundings.
There are plenty of hiking/riding/biking trails to explore. EquestriansIMG_0001 can partake in organized trail rides that wind through the countryside. For those who prefer two wheels, mountain bikes can be rented. There are other sports and activities in the area as well. A lush public golf course (which has 18 holes and a practice green) is located in the Castelfalfi estate about 8 km from the farm. No need to bring your clubs since rentals are available. The estate also has a 20-meter pool so you can go swimming or relax in the whirlpool. Plus, every Wednesday, the Ruatti family invites everyone to the farm’s complimentary pizza party. It is a magical night!
