We had a fairytale wedding here and the best wedding planner (contact me!) . We were presented with a gift from the mayor too. The building is ancient and full of history.

Home is still lived in and you get that sense as you travel through the rooms filled with family treasures.

Beautiful site, lovely to visit and photograph. The tower was closed on Friday, but the lobby itself is worth the trip!

We have been in the Priori on several occasions and it never fails to impress. I would suggest going into the Town Hall (the oldest in Italy) and then a visit to the Tourist Information Centre for the best reception I have ever received in an Italian town. The staff are so helpful and speak really good English. The restaurants and cafes just off the Palazzo are well worth a visit.

Centre of town. Volterra is touristy without being overrun. A very pretty town
