We were there for only one night and and a short stay, so didn't get to sample the dinner, or the pool albeit I saw it and it looked lovely!
Parts of the hotel are a bit dated and the room we had for three was at its limit, but the price was appropriate.
The views from the right rooms would be lovely as the Tuscan landscape with it's rolling hills can be quite mesmerising.
The town itself is a 5 minute walk away, and having never been here I was charmed by the towns beauty. Why I hadn't been here before I have no idea.
I was impressed by both the town and hotel, it met all the requirements really.
Breakfast was rather typical, albeit in a nice room. Wifi had to be paid for I was told, but parking was free.

This hotel is what it says on the packet - 3 star and basic but clean. The views were lovely (balcony overlooking pool and the valley below) and breakfast was good compared to other places we stayed. A walk out of town and a steep one at that but it didnt bother us particularly. Not bad overall.

Stayed in this hotel for 1 night passing through to the coast. The hotel is just at the bottom of a steep road 5 minutes from the city walls and s easy to find. The room had no aircon and is dated, with poor bathroom amenities, but had a nice view over the pool and countryside. Breakfast is the normal continental type with machine coffee. Not sure if I would enjoy spending any longer than 1 night, although the pool is large and clean.

Not sure about this one. Could have been good but....unhelpful, disinterested service from the front desk, had to pay for wifi which had poor coverage anyway, very unattractive view from our room. This could be a much better review if these factors were addressed. It's also quite a steep walk up a hill into town, no problem for us but good to be aware of. Would be difficult for some.

Room Tip: Definitely ask for a room with a view

We stayed here two nights. The location of the hotel was great, only a few minutes to Volterra. The hotel was ok, clean, but no a/c. The shower had no curtain. The girl who cleaned rooms and worked in the restaurant was very pleasant. She seemed to do everything there. Overall, it was a good place for the location but we'd probably try another place next time.

The location is very nice as well as the personnel, especially the girl who works in there. But the rooms, even if clean, are too small and too spartan for the price they ask. Also the swimming pool area could be expolited much mich better. Moreover, the breakfast is nothing special: the coffee and brioches taste like nothing. I think you can find better offers for that price.

My family and I visited Volterra last fall. This hotel offers beautiful views of the rolling hills of Tuscany. Very warm and cozy atmosphere. Breakfast service was great. Staying away from the hustle and bustle of a touristy attraction was our main goal. This hotel gave us just that.
