We ate here on the last night of our holiday as it was right by the villa we were staying in. Our drinks and meals arrived quickly. Unfortunately my main wasnt to my taste- nothing wrong with it- just not for me. I ordered a tomato and mozzarella salad instead as i knew it would be quick which it was, and i knew i would enjoy it which i did. After our meal we ordered desert which was lovely and we were given a tin of local biscuits and a bottle of liqueur to pour as we liked. As we paid our bill we were given shots of a lemon liqueur and the owner took the time to check we enjoyed our meal. We felt really cared for and looked after. Stress free dining for our last night.

When man wants to eat well, he will certainly have to go to '"Osteria della Pace". Because if you have well understood the connotation of the local, you know that you can not be disappointed by the scenery, service, and of course, food; because the local is prepared for each dish as possible and imaginary, while retaining the name "Osteria". So my advice is to immerse yourself completely in Tuscany, and more specifically the timeless Volterra and enjoy in the city, let serve local dishes which are certainly the best way to leave a beautiful memory of a visit to Volterra. If you want advice on where to eat well, then, "Osteria Peace" is definitely a place on which to tip the balance in positive judgments, indeed, the excellence of judgments. Enjoy your meal.

This small lively family run restaurant was recommended in our guide book and surpassed our expectations. I find it hard to eat badly in Italy however this restaurant would rate as one of our best meals. The extensive choice included sea foods, home made pasta with truffle, grilled meats and the owner (Gina) has local culinary awards displayed in the restaurant. )ur only disappointment was that the portions were so generous that we had no room for dessert but on leaving the restaurant it was possible to see into the kitchen so I thanked the cooks and was further rewarded with a sample of a home made almond biscuits still warm from the oven with a complementary glass of vin santo!

We had a very enjoyable lunch following our drive to Volterra from Lucca. We arrived late in the lunch period but were treated very nicely. The restaurant just happened to be inside the gate where we entered, above the public parking area at the bus station - we were starving and sought immediate nourishment without any expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by what we found. The waitresses were attentive, professional and spoke English. Our pizza was delicious, as was the bread. The salads as well were fresh with some slightly different types than the usual Insalata Nizzarda. It was a warm day, but we were comfortable inside. If we go back to Volterra we would go back to Osteria La Pace.
