Agriturismo Santa Vittoria
Certificate of Excellence

The apartment was spacious, immaculate and in beautiful surroundings. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare your own meals and Luigi was very helpful from start to finish, sorry we did not have more time to explore the property, but we had a wonderful afternoon and evening in Volterra and managed to get to San Gimigiano before the crowds the next morning. If you want to be near the pool, this should be specified as there are two different houses, the one has a pool and the other a restaurant.

We will forever fondly remember our time at Santa Vittoria. The views, the food (perhaps consistently the best we had in our three weeks in Italy), the pool. Luigi was a wonderful host, very helpful in giving us tips on where to go and what to see. The views from Riparbella and the terrace where we ate breakfast, lunch and dinner were spectacular. The full moon rising over Volterra......He recommended a great restaurant in Volterra when we visited. We met a Swedish couple that had returned to Santa Vittoria because they loved it so much. We hope to return as well. Grazie tanto!

Stayed at the Riparbella apartments with friends in June. The views here are as good as it gets in Tuscany. Absolutely spectacular. To,get here you have to drive on some very windy roads - all part of the experience however. Luigi and his wife are very nice and helpful, adding to the our stay and mother Maria is a fantastic and authentic cook. You can also cook for yourself in the apartments as well. Nice and close to many places in this scenic area - Florence, Pisa, Lucca, wine and agricultural regions. You don't however, have to go anywhere if you enjoy walking or outdoor pursuits. Nearby Volterra is an historic walled small town as well with lots of lovely restaurants or the torture museum if you are game. The apartments are simple with 2 bedrooms one bathroom. Very clean, nice beds and good value for money. Luigi the owner could not have been more helpful. This place ticked all the boxes for us. They are also in the process of building more accommodation, perhaps more luxurious if that is your requirement.

The drive from San Gimignano to the Agriturismo set the bar pretty high already, but the view from Agriturismo Santa Vittoria was simply breathtaking. The double room came with a dinning hall and table, something we did not even expect at all for the price we paid. The host Luigi was extremely helpful, telling us insightful information of about everything within the vicinity, not forget the emails we exchanged prior to our visit. We were also looking for a laundary place and with Luigi's directions, we found the place next to a supermarket easily! It was a pity that we only had time to spend one night there, but then again it leaves us wanting for more, and we will definitely choose S.Vittoria the next time we are in Tuscany. Oh yea, not to mention the scrumptious breakfast prepared by the host's wife.

Room Tip: Trust the owner's choice!

We recently spent 2 weeks in this absolutely magnificent agriturismo. Spectacular views, lots of nice things to see and visit in the surroundings....The owners, Luigi and Katiuscha are very nice and friendly people, always willing to help and to organise things for you. They even took us to the seaside to go diving. Maria is a great cook, we really enjoyed the meals she prepared and the athmosphere of eating all together on 1 big table on the beautiful terrace ! Our children also enjoyed everything very much, the pool , the other children to play with, we will certainly go back ... !!!!!!

Ciao Anuschka,
sorry if I write to you only now, but we cannot forget about you and the other families, and the great time we spent together on the coast.
I am glad that you enjoyed it, and the food of mamma Maria as well!
Hope to see you again.

We stayed for first time but will for sure return. Welcome was fantastic. Luigi (owner) was waiting for us and gave us "full" information about region and things to visit/see before guiding us to our simple but very nice and big appartment at ripabella house. Their are two houses ,both with 4 appartments, on top of an hills so you can realy enjoy the Volterra view, the other house voiuw, the nature view, etc. Our house was with pool and for breakfest and lunch/dinner we had to go to other house but this is not disturbing and even nice because you can meet also the people from other house. The appartments are big and you are not disturbed (privacy) by other guests unless you invite them for a drink:)).The dinners (not every evening but from time to time- that were served were nice (we could even prepare our own pizza's and dessert), you could ask every day for small lunch (for example home made paste) and breakfast is also very good also when you sit in morning on terras (PS you can also prepare your own breakfast or lunch/dinner in kitchen). Family is very helpful, nice and friendly and la mama Maria prepares the Italian home made food (pasta, pigeans, wild boar, rabit, pheasant, cakes, etc). Katiuscia (owner and wife of Luigi) and her father and all the rest of the team is also always available to offer all you need.
Furthermore region is top...with Voltera nearby (you can see it from appartment), San Gimignano, Firenze, Pisa, Siena, Sea side, Chianti region (all within 1 -1.5 hour).
The (dinner) evenings organised by the family also bring the people together...to eat, drink....and in our case to sing.....
We will go back for sure...

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
:Framed by the splendid hilly landscape of Volterra and her ‘Balze’ (crags), and situated in the sunny Tuscan countryside, is the holiday farm Santa Vittoria. Here we offer relaxing and timeless farm holidays, in eight harmoniously restored apartments equipped with every convenience to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The agritourism facilities consist of two independent farmhouses – Riparbella and Collevicchi – located on two main, but separate, hills from which one can enjoy unforgettable views. The estate is open all year round, given the attractive and different shades of the colours of nature during the varied Autumn and Winter months, for hunting enthusiasts and lovers of traditional Tuscan cooking. In fact Mamma Maria captivates guests with her typically homemade and strictly Tuscan cuisine for which she uses many of our own locally-grown products.Once back in your apartment you can enjoy the intimate, cosy atmosphere created by a real log fire or admire the star-studded heavens all around you. The geographically-central position of Santa Vittoria allows one to quickly reach the main Art cities of Tuscany such as: Volterra; San Gimignano; Monteriggioni; Siena; Firenze; Luca; Pisa; the coastline between Bolgheri and Populonia; and the Chianti area as well as interesting but less noteworthy towns and villages which we can recommend. In addition Santa Vittoria organises painting and cookery courses (on request), sampling/tasting of our own home-grown produce and Pick Your Own produce from our vegetable gardens. Lastly, it is also possible to fish in a nearby lake, to discover hidden woodland paths on horseback or just visit our own estate where we rear pheasant, pigeon and wild boar. Thanks to our continuous presence on the property, we are always on hand to give you a warm and friendly welcome, and to offer assistance and advice. ... more   less
