Villasimius is a nice growing city in south Sardegna that deserves to be visited at least once in the life. Beaches are wonderful with white sand and clean blue water with many nuances. From the number of blue/green nuances I tend to rank the beaches and this beach is 5 out of 7 I found in my traveling around the world. You can plan to stay all day long or half a day: it's depending on the time and wishes to visit other beaches (yes, there are many) that really deserve a dive in. When you reach the beach by car you will have two paths to take. The beach has three bays. On the left path you ill reach a small and nice bay and the central bay which is the largest. On the right path you have more opportunity to reach a very nice smaller bay that has the perfect protection if the wind is coming from South, South-East. If you go in the central largest bay you will have a lot of space but in case of the win, the worst exposition.
I suggest to pay 5€ for the parking in case you want to visit more places in the day.
But initially, when you are not used to the sun, half day is the perfect choice.
I also suggest you to rent a home, instead of going to hotels, in the center of Villasimius or close. You will have the opportunity to regulate your time.
This is an area you can reach flying to Cagliari and renting a car. The trip to Villasimius is not too long and the cost is really beautiful: try at least to stay on the cost in a daily trip. Use the internal faster 125 road in the night.
After the wonderful trip to Maui in the Hawaii, the Villasimius beaches are really another top class place to visit and enjoy.
You need to wake up early in the morning if you want to get your place in the beach, or you can simply rent a sun bed (any sort of) any time of the day.

So we got here purely be accident, referred by a kind senorita in Villasimius. We arrived at about 3.30 in the afternoon got some beds (for which we were not charged, perhaps because it was late in the afternoon). Mucho comfort, the water is shallow and perfect for little ones and deeper beyond that for swimmers. There's also a restaurant/cafe playing house music and a flamingo lake nearby. The showers are 20 cents and the toilet 50 cents. I liked the size, not too crowded at that time of the day on Sunday.

I really enjoyed the visit to this large beach in the second part of July. There are 3 entrances, all very well indicated. You can find both equipped parts with sunbeds and "ombrelloni" as well as free ones. It can get a bit crowded, so just be prepared. Other than that, it's really lovely.

Very crowded beach, but there's enough space for many people. The parking isn't free and your car will get dirty to get to the parking space.

Second year having found this wonderful beach last year. Beach compares to that of the Caribbean. The staff at the bar and beach are such lovely friendly people and the whole beach is so relaxing. The sea is so clear and clean you can see the bottom of the sea it is so clear changing colours as you get deeper just paradise
