Hotel Su Sergenti
Ranked #18 of 33 Hotels in Villasimius
Reviewed July 2, 2013

We came to Villasimius just to relax, eat, drink, swim and lap up the sun.
The Su Sergenti fulfilled the first three criteria more than adequately and nature supplied the lovely beaches and the wonderful weather.
The hotel, our room and all public areas were spotlessly clean throughout our weeks stay at the beginning of June.
The staff were exremely friendly, polite and helpful with suggestions for restaurants in the area and arranging our transfer back to the airport. The hotel restaurant The Grill we found to be very good and ate there on two occasions.
The location is ideal only a 5 - 10 minute walk into the centre of town; there are some excellent bars/cafes on the way for pre and apres dinner drinks; a slightly longer walk to the beach, perhaps 20 minutes but whats the rush. The town has a variety of good restaurants catering from snacks towards fine dining (see separate reviews for restaurants).
The pool area was also a surprise, not big but comfortable sun beds and umbrellas in a quiet area.
If you are not hiring a car and want to save some cash take the shuttle from the airport to Cagliari and the local bus to Villasimius (check bus timetable before you leave), it tales about 90mins but it is cheap and you see the countryside. We had to take a transfer taxi on our return due to flight times not coinciding with the bus timetable.
We would certainly return to Su Sergenti, a great hotel and wonderful staff.

Room Tip: We had a room at the fron of the hotel with a balcony on first floor, no excessive noise from the ro...

We stayed at the Surgenti for 10 days and were treated as if we were part of the family. The Owners, Mrs Rossella is just a delightful lady, which makes one feel special in every aspect. Not one single day passed, without being asked how we were doing, how we were enjoying the staying or giving us hints and tips on how or were to go. Yet never intrusive and always very descretly. The rest of the staff ist just fantastic, always helping and always with a smile. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are always kept clean and tidy. The location is about 700 meters from the beach but very close the centre of town. We had a car at our disposal so it was only a 5 minutes drive to any beach in Villasimius. Hotel car park is just opposite the hotel. Breakfast was very good, as already described many times before in other reviews. Dinner, in the newly opened restaurant, is a must. Not only the location overlooking the pool and with partial seaview is good but the food, personally supervised by the Signora Rossella is always a culinary experience. The garden is beautiful and very well kept. One feels like being in a little paradise. The main road in front of the hotel can only be partially heard in the morning when people tend to go to the beach or consequently during the early evening when going back home. I dont recall hearing any real noises at night. Especially as the hotel is at the end of the town and not right in the middle where the nightlife is. I dont think that rating this hotel in stars, would be enough but if I had to give one, it would be more a 4 star than a 3 star hotel. All in all a big thank you to the staff and to the owners for making our holiday an unforgettable one. We will definitely go back one day!

We came here to pass the last days of our honeymoon. The hotel is situated near a very busy road, it is not very nice to sit on your balcony looking at an ugly building with all the noise of the cars passing by. Although the staff knew that we were on honeymoon they put us in a room with a young family as neighbours. The baby started crying at 5 am. When we complainted they showed us a very ugly room as alternative and they told us that we were probably very tired of our trip for being so unsatisfied with the room. Incredible!! Although the hotel itself was quite nice and the breakfast was good. The staff was so unfriendly!

Room Tip: De kamers met balkon zijn wel echt een stuk mooier dan die zonder. Ik zou bij reservering wel even a...

We stayed at Hotel Su Sergenti from 17 - 23 June. Staff were really friendly and helpful, rooms very clean and comfortable. We did have a balcony, which I would recommend if you want to have pre-dinner drinks in your room!
Breakfast buffet had a very good selection of meats, cheese, cereal, pastries, fruit and scrambled egg.
Very easy walk into town where we found some good restaurants. Longer walk to beach, about 15 to 20 mins. Beach was fabulous sea and sand. The sun beds are 15 euros for 2 beds and umbrella if you are in 2nd row - but 18 euros if you want front row view. Would definitely go again.

Room Tip: Rooms with balcony which look out to road with sea in background are good.

Recommended by a friend and it really is a beautiful hotel. It is located about 800 yards from the beach and has its own private area with sun beds and parasols (15 euros per day). The hotel itself was very clean and well laid out. You could sit in comfortable chairs in the shade or the sun, and eat breakfast and dinner outside. The food was lovely and dinner a very reasonable price, with a great self service breakfast with excellent choices. The staff were all very friendly and polite delivering excellent service, and the owners were always around to ensure you were being well looked after. Fabulous new swimming pool though a bit cold!!! Only downside was a room at the back of the hotel overlooked by other buildings and with a decided sewerage smell on occasions. The rooms themselves were lovely, clean and comfortable, though the air conditioning was not great in one of our rooms .Would go again!

Room Tip: Request a sea view!

Really good location, 5 mins walk from centre of this small town and 10 mins walk from beach. All staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast, which is included in price, is self service, extremely generous and varied, far more than expectations. Well done guys, you are a great advertisement for Sardinia!
