My husband and I stayed here on the 5th - 19th October 2013
We checked in at reception to find the staff remembered our stay 2 years previously, we found this very warming. we had a 2 bedroomed apartment with sea views, they had put us 4 doors from where we stayed before which was lovely also awaiting for us was a bottle of prosecco and a huge plate of home made cakes. Thank you.
The real star was Michelangelo the bar man he was there 2 years ago and we found out he has been there 16 years that's what we call loyalty. these people make your stay so much nicer, he goes that extra mile for you and its no problem. Well done to you. PS sorry we missed you on our departure :( I must mention also the rest of the staff on the beach bar was very attentive and friendly. service was great. thank you.

Thank you for yet another wonderful holiday.
Alan & Bev

Room Tip: rooms on the first floor have great views of the ocean.

I was there as part of a conference party. The location is beautiful, and the hotel is quite nice. Some of the rooms are beautiful but there are some (the ones with two bedrooms, or at least mine) that are a bit shabby, in particular the bathroom was rather unimpressive, even more so when a massive wet patch appeared in my room. The staff moved me to another room, but in such a hurry that I could not access the bathroom where the workers were trying to fix the problem, which resulted in me leaving there some of my stuff. Regarding the staff and the service I have to say that most people, in particular the waiters were very nice, unfortunately one can not say the same for the boss of the receptionists, I do not know his name, but it is a bold, thin, man with glasses that sits at the reception in a glass separated room. This man was extremely inefficient and impolite and ruined any other nice thing that the hotel might have. Also, the manager, he seems to have too many clients that he does not need to treat them nicely. In particular a problem that we had is that they had arranged for a driver to come and pick us up to the airport, Alitalia lost our luggage, which means that we came out of the airport 30 minutes after plane landing, because we wasted some 15-20 minutes in filling in the necessary forms. When we came out (30 minutes after flight landing) we couldnt find the driver, we walk around the airport, which made us loose another 15 minutes and finally we decided to call the hotel, when we did the bold man with glasses said that the driver had just left the airport because he had been waiting there for 50 minutes so from the hotel they ordered him to leave. We said that if it was true that he had just left he should return to the airport as we were there now, but he said that he was not coming back. We therefore paid for a taxi (115 Euros) to get to the hotel, and when we got there the hotel MADE us pay for the driver service that we hadnt used because the driver had left!?!?!? The manager of the hotel even threatened me with bringing me to the police if I didn't pay. Obviously annoyed we asked for the COMPLAINT FORMS that every hotel is obliged to have by law is most countries, and they REFUSED TO GIVE US COMPLAINT FORMS!! Therefore although THE HOTEL IS NICE BY ITSELF SOME OF THE STAFF MADE THE STAY A TRULY DREADFUL EXPERIENCE. Additionally email communication with them is basically impossible, and mostly useless. Before going there they were unresponsive to emails it was impossible to pay for the rooms, they changed me from the room I had asked for to a different one, because of all that my payment was not being process and they were EXTREMELY RUDE about this, but I do not blame them so much for this as it might be a consequence of they low level in their usage of english.

I have been coming here since 1997 and the Cormoran just keeps getting better. The warm and welcoming staff, the amazing food, and the perfect location on the beach cannot be matched. Many parts of the complex have been renovated recently, making it more four star fancy than the rustic place it was in 1997. What is unchanged is the amazing beach and gorgeous unspoiled views of the mountains surrounding the resort.

Room Tip: Rooms farther from the beach are a bit more quiet because they do have evening entertainment at the...

Spent a week there for a conference. Nice beach, beautiful sea, helpful staff, good food. A bit far off from any major city (Cagliari is 1.5 h away from it by bus), but perfect if you just want to relax and enjoy the beach.

We had a perfect stay in this hotel. The staff was friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable, we had one room with a sea view and one with garden view. Very close walk to pools and beach. Free parasols and beach chairs. Free tennis. Beach volleyball. Ping-pong. Aqua-trim. Very well-kept gardens. Peaceful. Only noise was from birds in the trees and from the waves. Main restaurant was closed. Breakfast buffet was good, gluten-free food was acceptable, but not very impressing. Neighbour restaurant served gluten-free pasta dishes. Free Wi-Fi in the reception area. Very helpful to have a car, to get in to the little town Villasimius. We had only 4 days. Would love to come back.

Room Tip: Sea view was excellent.

Wonderful. best 2 weeks we have had for a long time, would love to go back, great for families. The staff are terrific and always available for you and great with children. Such a nice relaxing and safe environment, the big decisions of the day are beach, pool or eating. Would love to go back.

Cormoran

A quiet, family resort for your holidays. I was there almost accidentally and the staff was startled to see three young men chatting with ladies in their 70's. The beach is big and very nice, the sea clean. It's a moderately cheap accomodation if you take an apartment for four people but overprices as an hotel, though they make you pay extras whenever they can. The bar is nice but very expensive and getting a good cocktail is almost impossible. Villasimius town is quite near but hasn't many attractions. If you want to explore the magnificent (but all Sardinia is magnificent) surroundings you should rent a car. The staff at the front desk speak many languages, are very helpful and well organized. Again, if you're young and love parties, try some other place ( NE of sardinia would be the best option for you)
