We make a habit of asking the locals where they eat when we travel. In Vieste, everyone told us that Al Cantinone was the best spot in the Centro Storico for authentic Pugliese cuisine. They were right. The atmosphere is wonderful -- nicely lit, old building with arched ceilings. But it's the menu you'll go for. We had the antipasto of the house. It included small dabs of a wide range of seafood, vegetables, and meats. We were starving so we also shared an entree: blue fish rolled up and grilled with a citrus sauce. Very tasty. Both the cook (who came out and spoke with us at the end of the night) and the hostess/waitress spoke fluent English and guided us thru the menu and wine list. Total was about 60 Euro for two w/ wine.
