Having heard Puglia was the gastronomic capital of Italy we arrived in Vieste with high hopes. For the first 3 days we were dismayed to find only overpriced, poorly prepared slop. We shared the platter of starters which included a selection of vegetarian and fish specialities, then had mixed grilled fish and shared a dessert. The dishes showed careful selection of ingredients, a real love for food and genuine care for the guests. Service was friendly and unobtrusive. If you're in Vieste, go,
