“Exceptional hotel with service to match, simply heaven.”
Reviewed May 9, 2013

We are staying here for five blissful nights and already feel we want to return. The hotel is so well designed, just 22 rooms and appears to have a 1:1 ratio of staff to guests. We could write pages extolling its virtues. The rooms are very well fitted out, spacious, delightful balconies to sunbathe on and with the most comfortable beds you could wish for! Breakfast is such a treat, everything you could possibly want is either there or can be made in minutes. The attention to detail is amazing. Definitely a highlight of the day. We will describe the restaurant in its own review! From the utter heavenly sea views, the sound of waves rocking you to sleep, the beautiful cold refreshing pools, being able to drop down a few steps and swim out to sea, this place is magical! Stand outs have to be the staff who rely do make your trip and are extremely helpful. True 5 star service.

Room Tip: 3rd floor rooms are best

We are just back from Capo La Gala having stayed for 5 nights and must say that it is one of the best places we have ever stayed in. The room was fantastic with an amazing sea view and lovely terrace. Although we ate out most evenings the breakfasts were great with such a fantastic choice especially as we follow a gluten free diet. The outdoor gym and the spa were very good as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. If you ever want a little piece of luxury when you visit the Amalfi Coast stay here.

This was a lovely hotel, within easy reach of Pompeii. The service was generally excellent and the restaurant was truly excellent. While it is not at the top end of luxury in this region of the Amalfi Coast, it deserves its 5 star rating and represented pretty good value for money in this category.

Room Tip: Perhaps request a room which is distant from the location of the staff's cleaning/utility cupboa...

Capo La Gala is one of those rare and special places where once you arrive - you never want to leave and return to the real world! Yes, we return in August for our sixth consecutive year. Each year we have seen more and more facilities added in a very tasteful way and totally in keeping with the natural beauty of the location. However, while the facilities and the food are out of this world the big plus for us are the fantastic staff who make you feel so special from the moment you arrive. Nothing is a problem and they really want you to leave with only pleasant memories and planning your next visit! Many of the same staff have been with this hotel since the wonderful Acampora family had the vision to open and create this magical place in 2007.

Danilo and his talented team present amazing food from their Michelin Star restaurant Maxi as one watches the sun set over Ischia and the lights light up in the town of Vico Equense which is close by.

Capo La Gala is an ideal base to travel around the Amalifi coast if you can be tempted to tear yourself away from this amazing place. Capo La Gala really is a little piece of Heaven!
Roll on August!

This is a fabulous place. We found it by accident our first year living in Europe on our first vacation. We passed it driving back from Positano with a extra night to spare. We turned around and pulled in and immediately checked in. it felt more like a private club than a hotel, and being late fall, the hotel wasn't crowded. Just an incredible location and setting with remarkable views. I think the hotel just opened when we visited in 2007. I hope to one day return.

Room Tip: We actually traveled here in October 2007... But the drop down did not allow for me to choose before...

Having got married the end of June we flew to Italy for one week and stayed for 3 nights at Capo La Gala Hotel. The rooms were not huge, but they were spacious enough, clean and modern, ideal for a young couple wishing for some relaxation. The food was off the charts, at a cost (compared to going out to local restaurants) but incredibly well done. It was certainly all worth it. We always went with the local wines and were never disappointed. We never used the salt water pool although i did like that touch but we are happy to be swimming in the Sea, which was stunning. There is not a lot of parking and we had an old sports car which wasn't the easiest to park on a steep slope however there was either always a space or we could leave the car and the staff would park it for us when one became available. The staff were superb, helpful and always smiling. We have absolutely no negative points to staying at this hotel and we would LOVE to return at some point. Thank you for making our honeymoon so special.

This was the full package! Friendly, helpful, engaging staff - from the front desk, to poolside, spa and dining, we were truly looked after! The facilities were impeccable and the food amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Yes, you get what you pay for but I believe you get more than you pay for at Capo La Gala.
Over the course of 5 nights we had lots of help arranging our activities and outings. Afternoon's at the gym were amazing - set over the water with state of the art equipment, it was a great way to work up an appetite whether on site or in town.
We did not want to leave! Definately many of my fondest memories of Italy are based around the hospitality shown to us at Capo La Gala. Furthermore, the picturesque location and water activities topped it all off!
Thank you!
