Coffee and a pastry are the Italian breakfast staple and this is one of the best places to find it in Italy. All the pastries are made in house. They are fresh, flaky, and disappear fast as this is where all the locals can be found early in the morning. We ate here two mornings in a row, traditional style (took our coffee and food at the bar). Cappuccino costs about EUR 1.2, pastries are EUR 1-2 (we took ‘virgola con crema e marmellata’, and un ‘budino di riso’, Viareggio’s signature breakfast pastry).
