I work in Verbania, so I go to Dam a Traa at least once a week. It's the office "local". The food is very good, and the portions are amazingly large. Like America (for you Americans). I simply cannot finish a prima piate, a segunda piate, dolce e caffe (a full lunch). I usually stick to a segunda piate and some water, though since it's Italy I sometimes have the caffe.
The meals are very close to traditional Italian cuisine, and that's why my Italian collegues will go there as well. If you're in town, go here at least once. If you hear Americans and accented French, Belgian, Brazilian and Italian, it's us. Ciao!
