Me and my wife spent with a group of friends (who had kids aged 8-13) one week in this wonderful mountain resort that is located in a lovely valley and just few minutes (by skibus) from the Kronplatz slopes which are fine both for beginners and for advanced skiers. The scenery of the Dolomiti mountains is just magnificient.

It was our first visit to the Mirabell and we went there primarily for skiing (which is great) however if you don`t plan to ski the hotel facilities are very good with a high end wellness center (sauna world, turkish bath, indoor and outdoor pool and a variety of other treatments). A daytrip to Cortina D`Ampezzo (where the 1956 Olympic games were held) is highly reccomended.

We had the Garden Suite room which was a beautiful place to stay very confortable with plenty of room, shower and bath and a nice mountain view. I believe this room was a match for much pricier hotels . The room was impeccably clean.

The food is definitely a strong point: rich breakfast with both salty and sweet offerings mostly from the local region (hams, speck, jogurts). During the day from 12.30 to 17.00 there is an open buffet (included in the price) where you can have again a salty or sweet snack.
The dinner is a real feast: Full three course dinner and great sweet desserts and local cheeses. One of the best hotel kitchens I have experienced.

The service was always kind and punctual , we felt at ease and confortable. It is definitely a place where we will come back to.

If there is one (minor) thing I would reccomend the hotel to focus on this would be the internet service; while it was working during all our stay however it was not fast. Maybe this is not a key requirement for the guests but in my case I wanted to download few magazines on my IPad and it took far too much time.

Room Tip: We had the Garden Suite (room 118) highly reccomended!

We stayed at the Mirabell Hotel in Olang for one week ( over Christmas 2011 ). My whole family truly enjoyed the stay ( 2 sons - 21 and 15 years old ). We had two suites which where very nice. The staff and the owner of the Hotel are very friendly and the service is outstanding. The Spa and Sauna are very good. The Gym is not big but with the pool ( inside and outside ) you have enough activies. The food is excellent and the wine selection is good. The Hotel is just 6 minutes away from the skiing area Kronplatz. The bus stop is right infront of the Hotel and the bus is always on time. The skiing area Kronplatz is not big but very nice. You find slops from black to blue. We surely will come back and stay another time at this wonderful Hotel.
