This hotel is in torbole which is the 'sporting area of the lake' -lots of windsurfers and cyclists! Night life is limited but there are some nice bars for a glass of Aperol Spritz- the local favourite. The owners are great, the food is delicious and you are offered a nice selection from 3 main courses each night. The rooms are small and the decor is dated but they are really clean you are provided with all you need eg lots of towels, soaps etc, sky tv, hairdyer, the pool is nice although cold and you can hire bikes. We never found the gym- not sure it exists. A well run hotel. We went with Newmarket Holidays and we impressed with their organisation and the value for money trips. We would definitely recommend Venice, Verona and the cable car at Malcesine

Accomodation in this small hotel was perfect. Hotel was clean, staff were helpful and polite. Owner has a sense of humor. Food was very good. Locality of this hotel is good for active holidays. It is about 200m from lake. Hotel has a big parking place and extra space for bikes where you can lock your bike. You can hire a bike too. Torbole is a good start place for riding a bike.

Just spent a week at this hotel with Newmarket Holidays. Very friendly, helpful owners and staff. Nothing too much trouble. Rooms spotless and towels changed every day and linen twice a week. Lovely clean swimming pool with comfortable sun loungers and umbrellas. Continental buffet breakfast and four course evening meal (salad, starter, main and dessert). Oscar the lab was a firm favourite with all the guests. All in all a lovely little hotel within walking distance of Lake Garda.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking camping site at back are quieter as away from road

Difficult to fault the Angelini. It is small, friendly, spotlessly clean and extremely well organised. The comprehensive continental breakfast is excellent and if you are on half board the evening meal, which amounts to four courses, is simple home cooked Italian food, with the occasional Germanic twist, which is quite delicious. It is probably one of the best hotels of its kind that I have ever stayed in. The family who run the hotel could not be more helpful or welcoming and if you are at all anxious about anything the famous Oscar will do his best to reassure you.Torbole and Riva del Garda are both lively and interesting places within easy walking distance of the Hotel. Strongly recommended, but watch out for the silent but deadly German Mountain Bikers who ride on the pavements!! Otherwise it is all very charming and civilised. I'll be back.

Room Tip: Although the Angelini is next to a fairly busy road the rooms are very well soundproofed and the hot...

Recently returned from 7 day holiday with Newmarket at this wonderful, friendly, family run hotel, with Oscar the black lab as a star attraction!!
Read other reviews before choosing this hotel, but it far exceeded expectations. Very clean, food fantastic. Very friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Ideally situated between Torbole and Riva which are both within comfortable walking distance. No entertainment at night, but ideal if you just want a quiet relaxing holiday. Lake Garda has some of the most stunning scenery and had a thouroughly good holiday. Highly recommended.

We stayed at this hotel on the recommendation of our travel advisor, who knew the hotel...we were not disappointed. Small enough to feel well cared for, but with fantastic facilities. Very clean, and food is just wonderful. Well situated for a stroll to nearby Riva, and Torbole itself is beautiful. Will look forward to staying there again.

Room Tip: High room is slightly better view, but all rooms are good.

Stayed here as part of a Newmarket Holidays package. We arrived at 11.30 pm and found the reception open with Mr Angelini waiting for us. Comfortable room (255) overlooking the road and mountain. Good choice of continental breakfast and varied evening meal menu, including veggie, (Cheese omelettes came with mozarella cheese only, but this is Italy!) and alternatives were available on request. Watress service not "help yourself" Friendly staff (boss has a great sense of humour and is very accomodating), quiet hotel, near to the "beach" and a short (20 min) walk into Torbole, 40 mins to Riva along very pleasant path. Oscar must be the most laid back labrador in the world!!
