We stayed at Fonte Cesia several years ago and came back for a week this spring. Unfortunately I arrived with a bad cold but many thanks to Anna here at the hotel. She arranged for a doctor to come to my room and has gone the extra mile for us. She has walked us to the Farmacia in order to change the medication that I had an adverse reaction to. This hotel is in a wonderful spot and the staff is magnificent. Our room is beautiful and we are treated like family. Wonderful suggestions for out if the way trips and great restaurants. We are here at Easter and enjoying all the activities. We will come back again and recommend it so highly.

Room Tip: We have been in two of the beautiful junior suites, all are different. Our room this trip has a beau...

Four of us stayed at the Hotel Fonte Cesia on our trip through Umbria. We arrived in the Middle of January 2014. The hotel was quiet, so the staff upgraded our Room. We had an excellent room with a Great View of the Umbrian Hills and the rising moon. It could not have been nicer. The rooms were very clean, well kept and the beds were super comfortable. The four of us wanted to share some wine and cheese before heading out for dinner. The staff offered us a nice table in their Bar . They brought out some plates for our cheese and bread (that we purchased from a market in town) and served us a very excellent bottle of Umbrian Red Wine. The next morning, we were probably the only guests having breakfast, yet the friendly staff served us a huge buffet with everything you could want , and More! If you are traveling through Umbria and spend some time in Todi...this hotel would be and excellent choice. The hotel is perfectly located for a walking tour of Todi, and they have parking. We will definately visit the Hotel again.

My mom, sister and I started our tour of Umbria in Todi, a city none of us had been to. What an excellent choice we made in hotels! The hotel is right in the center with parking not far away. It's a beautiful hotel. The family that owns and runs it have done an excellent job of modernizing and yet maintains the historic charm of the building. We shared a triple room and it was plenty large enough. Really helped having a vanity and stool in bedroom with 3 women! Also had no trouble finding enough outlets. Entire hotel was spotless and festively decorated for Christmas holidays. Highlight of our stay was the warm reception and great conversations we had with the family that owns the hotel. Thank you, Anna, Nuncia, Mamma and Sara!

I travel the world and have stay in 100's of Hotels around the world. Hands down this is one of the finest hotels I have stayed in. I was with Mamma (88) and one of my sisters. We enjoyed their finest suite and the entire time of our 6 day stay we were treated like Family. It is the way I take care of guest who stay at my ranch in Texas. Everyone who worked for the hotel treated us like family. The quality of the hotel was also great. I look at the detail in a Hotel. The wood, the floors the paint. Everything. When you see this attention to detail around the entire hotel, you see why the staff has the same attention to detail to their guest's needs. It is close to everything, and parking. Breakfast was as good as the Ritz, lunch was very good and dinner was Italian all the way. Not so in most hotel restaurants. If you want to feel like family, this is the place to stay when in Umbria. Todi is close to all of the cities that you would want to tour.
Ciao, Maestro Bruno Santo

Room Tip: The junior suite has the best views and large enough for 3 people.

I stayed here for a few nights and absolutely loved it. The hotel is centrally located. Everything is a couple minutes walk. The staff are extremely friendly and service is excellent. The hotel has a besutiful terrase as well. The food is great. Breakfast is your typical Italian breakfast. Dinner is lovely though. The rooms are comfortable, and YES they have towels and not sheets in the bathroom :)). I found the room was not as soundproof, but it was great waking up to hearing people on the street say Buonjorno :). Im sure they have quiet rooms on the otherside. All in all, a great experience. Would I return here??? YESSS :)))

Stayed here for several days/nights while touring the area. Close to town square and you feel as though you are part of the local atmosphere. The service was great and the staff was very accommodating . A great location to stay and daytrip out to Assisi and unwind.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and it is always reliable. Rooms are comfortable, the staff very friendly, it's reasonably priced and the breakfast is quite nice and substantial. Best of all, the hotel is located at the very top of Todi, allowing you to walk out the door and begin exploring the town. There are at least three great restaurants (that I've been to) within very easy walking distance, and beautiful views over the valley can be seen from several nearby spots. Be sure to browse through the photo album in the lobby. It shows how the hotel was resurrected from ruins.
