There was an article in today's local paper here in Lucca about restaurants in the Pisa area. They listed Dante and Ivana's chef as the "king of seafood on the local coast" and we felt that we had to try it. Tirrenia is WELL off the foreign tourist track, and the façade is certainly not one that would make you feel that you were going to enter such a special place. The food was of the very highest quality and creative. Creative, but not to the point of being challenging. I happily remember everything I ate, and the very friendly welcome of the chef/owner, Dante and Ivana's son. I feel that I have discovered a new place to which I am going to be a regular. Well worth the trip. I was expecting to pay much more for the fixed menue, and was truly happily surprised.
