“Always Good”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

Having lived in the area, moved away, returned, left again, and still return to visit, I can 100% say that having dined here dozens of times over the course of six years, I have NEVER had a bad experience at this restaurant.

Their trademark frizzante white wine on tap (not prosecco) is total happiness when paired with vongole alla marinara, or anything else on the menu for that matter.

Great variety of pasta dishes with all the fruits of the sea, and reasonably priced. The main courses are however overpriced when compared with other restaurants in livorno. Market price doesn't always mean what they paid at the market, just be aware of your portion size, and ask before you order how much it weighs.

You can't miss the deserts. The finest Tiramisu anywhere in Italy confidently with six years of experience dining all over the country.

As usual, for a more intimate less obnoxious dining experience, wait until after 8pm for the tourist crowd to clear out. You won't be dissapointed.

“A table overlooking the gas pumps”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

This restaurant was recommended by the hotel for good seafood. It is located on a corner between a string of other small restaurants. It was crowded at 9:00 pm when we arrived an had a short wait for a table. The restaurant seating was all open air, under cover seating. Our table offered a view of the gas pumps at the gas station next door. We were waited on promptly. The waiter knew the menu well and was able to offer wine suggestions. Three of us all had different entrees including risotto frutti di mare, grilled orata (bream), and a house specialty which was pasta piled high with shrimp, scallops and fish in a tomato sauce. The wait time for the prepared food was quite long but the wait was worth it. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. We didn't have room for dessert but did sample some grappa. We left the restaurant about 11:45. This place is worth a try if you are in the area.

“Nice place for dinner”
Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

Nice place for a dinner with or without children. The food and service were very good and if you go there late, expect to wait as it is popular with tourists and locals. We were told to have the tiramisu and it is definitely worth it at 6 euros.
