This was our first visit to this part of Italy. What a beautiful town. The flat was just perfect to suit our trip, had everything that you need. Very oldy worldy. It is set in a fantastic location in the old town, just a short stroll near to the centre overlooking the beach.
The beach is stunning, golden sand in both directions as far as the eye can see. You can walk for hours and still not reach the end.
An excellent selection of restaurants - you could stay for weeks and visit a different restaurant every night. The staff in all places we visited were very friendly and helpful. I hope it is not our last visit to this gem of a place. It is not the easiest place to get to, we travelled by bus from Rome which took 5 hours, there is a train station with great connections but again it is quite a trip to get there - having said that it is well worth it.
We have just spent 10 delightful days in Antonella's flat. It opens out onto a high promenade overlooking the sea and sandy beach (offering fabulous sunsets). The flat, which is well equipped with a roomy, comfortable bed and very good kitchen and bathroom facilities, provided a cool haven throughout the day with its thick walls.
One feels very much part of the local community and Roberta was on hand to offer advice or help when needed.
There is a supermarket (Conad) in Via Adriatica, 5 minutes on foot and an abundance of fish restaurants on hand.
