“Lovely location, more sophisticated than the norm”
Reviewed August 5, 2012

The restaurant has an open view to the sea, we arrived without a booking and were shown to a table which was not in a prime position (at the edge of the balcony) because apparently they were fully booked. Unfortunately the people who had booked either didn't turn up or perhaps the management had decided to save them for some richer punters from some yacht?
There is a more "fine dining" atmosphere here than other restaurants we visited in Sicily (more attractive china, glasses, cutlery, and trendy service) but actually the food isn't any better than the norm (which admittedly in Sicily is very high) you just get smaller portions and pay more! We paid a good 20 Euros more here for a comparable meal elsewhere.

“it's not easy to eat very good in stromboli, but Punta Lena try it hard and they are on a good way, maybe we had bad luck.”
Reviewed July 14, 2012 via mobile

we where there with our family, 4 adults and 2 children. the bread in the breadbasket wasn't fresh or various, no problem when they wouldn't charge 5€/person couvert. the waitress was friendly but a little bit confused/stressed, that's why we got the starters from the neighbor-table by fault (one we hadn't ordered wasn't charged, nice). the 3 antipasti were all good, not average but also not very good (i don't like the categories here). the main course was two kind of fish for 4 people (somehow dry and hard to swallow, not juicy like i had it the day before in Ginostra) the children had each a half portion of gnocchi with tomatosauce (they forgot the parmigiano until the very end). we drunk a very good bottle of chardonnay from Planeta and dessert for all 6 of us (semi-freddo almond and pistacchio, not a highlight) and the bill was 300€! including 3 bottle of water and some tip of 11€. all together i would have given a good instead of an average, Punta Lena is a nice restaurant but overpriced, even for Stromboli. at our visit the kitchen and the service wasn't top, maybe the season just start at mid of july and it will become better.

“Very good and particular location!”
Reviewed June 16, 2012

We have eaten in that restaurant in June, there were not too many tourists in that period so it was nice. The food served was very good but quite expensive and on the whole I would not call that place 'relaxing' as the service was a bit uptight. Very beautiful location on the sea front made it a pleasant dinner out but I haven't left my heart there.

“So romantic!!”
Reviewed July 14, 2010

Lovely very romantic restaurant with views of the sea and the mini-island of
strombolicchio. We had a candlelight dinner there and loved it. The service
was corteous and discreet, the food was good and relatively varied with a lot
of local specialties to try. It was slightly more expensive than the other
restaurants on the island but I thoght it was worth it. It's not near the other restaurants
on the island, it's kind of on the side in an isolated spot so ask if you can't find it.
Really lovely!
