We stayed for 4 nights in June 2013, following a recommendation from a family of 7 that had stayed in 2011. What a beautiful location! Poreta is a small village, just a short drive away from many places to see. The house itself is comfortable and tastefully furnished, surrounded by beautiful gardens. Chinzia the friendly owner greeted us with a basket of local foods and was extremely helpful with information about the area. Her recommendations for places to go visit and for restaurants were perfect. You will need a car to see the many villages in the area, but you are also welcome to borrow bikes from the house just to toodle around the neighborhood. Added bonuses: each apartment comes with its own washing machine; there is a small pool if you come with kids; outside the door is a shop run by Chinzia's mother with everything you might need to cook;and bigger stores are a 15 minute drive away in the city of Spoleto.
We are already dreaming of returning someday!
