The town of Spoleto has so many hidden treasures to find and this is one of them. The town is very close and walkable (there are detailed directions for tourist to follow). The Roman house is nicely restored and maintained. The intricate tile floors are amazing to see. The visit did not take long, but well worth the stop.

We loved seeing this unique find, but did not enjoy the modern art stuck right dab in the middle. It ruins the ruins!

This museum was less than 100 yards from our apartment and we walked past it daily, but hadn't visited. Due to the museum pass I have mentioned in other reviews, we went on this trip and were happy that we did. It's a very interesting tour that only takes less than an hour but illustrates Roman live in Spoleto. The museum pass is good for seven days, costs 7.50E and includes admission to 6 or 7 museums.

If you are in Spoleto, spend the 3 euros to see this. Just for the mosaic floors which look like tapestry, and the for the understanding of how clever Romans were at collecting water.

Was so looking forward to seeing this Roman house and it would have been delightful except for the highly distracting amateur artwork that polluted every single space! It was not possible to look anywhere without having your view destroyed by what looked like luggage trollies and plastic drink bottles rudely dipped in plaster of paris.
