My husband and I, were so so fortunate to stay at the Palazzo Leti for 2 days recently. The owners wonderful husband and wife were so nice and kind to us during our stay. We were well taken care of since we knew some people in town. We highly recommend this hotel, clean, comfortable bed, great breakfast and delicious hazel nut cake baked by the owner (Laura) and she even shared the recipe with us. We just loved our stay and we will for sure go back for visit and to explore Umbria.

Palazzo Leti is in a lovely garden setting and has old-world charm. The proprieter's are warm, welcoming and helpful. For our stay they made arrangements for a hiking guide as we had requested. The hotel is comfortable and well-cared maintained. Although the weather ws not especially good during our visit, we found Leti to be in a good location to explore Spoleto, hike in the Umbrian hills and drive to other hilltop towns. It is an easy 1.5 hour drive from Rome airport.

Enjoyed a perfect escape from the over stimulation of Rome. The owners were very welcoming. It was as if I was staying in their home. Palazzo Leti is in a perfect location. Scenic and tranquil with easy walking access to all Spoleto has to offer. I am planning to return with my wife. Thank you Laura and Gianpaolo.

We just left this wonderful accommodation today after a five night stay. From the minute we arrived to our departure, the owners and hosts couldn't have been more superb. They are on site constantly to ensure that every guest need is met. We wondered if the actual experience would live up to the ratings, but can confirm that every positive comment others have written is absolutely true. The room was spacious and immaculate and they seem to think of every detail. The location is perfect, and, if arriving by car, the approach is really not as bad as some have portrayed, although the smaller the car, the easier it is to negotiate the narrow streets. If your room is on the second level, they do have a lift to make handling of your luggage very easy. The view from our room and the property's stunning garden was amazing. If we return to Spoleto in the future, there is no doubt that we would stay at Palazzo Leti.

Room Tip: Room 404 affords plenty of space, a comfortable bed and pillows, a very large bath and privacy. The...

Beautiful location in Spoleto with a view across the valley. We have been to Spoleto before but this was in a completely different part of town. The days we were there it was really cold but not uncomfortable. We walked to dinner every night. The owners of Palazzo Leti are the best. They really work hard to give you a good experience. The room was huge and the bathroom was one of the best we have seen in Italy. Nice breakfast, beautiful grounds and very clean. We parked up next to the Palazzo but it is a little tricky getting in and out. There are really narrow streets so a little car is an advantage.

The hospitality at Palazzo Leti surpassed any other hotel we stayed at during our visit in Italy. We truly felt like family. One morning while having breakfast in the dining room, Gian, one of the owners, was visiting with our 9 month old son and we overheard a couple at the table next to ours say, "that must be his grandson". The owners Anna Laura and Gian are a very gracious couple that are always available and helpful with all of our questions.
The hotel is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to visit Spoleto.

Hotel Palazzo Leti is a beautiful small family run hotel in a peaceful setting in the historical centre of Spoleto. The delightful owners, Laura and Gianpaolo, spent years renovating the Palazzo to its former glory and it shows. My husband and I stayed two nights and would not hesitate to return. The views from the garden terrace where we ate breakfast and sipped afternoon cocktails was breathtaking. We stayed in a superior room which also had a wonderful view of the countryside. The Palazzo Leti is a short walk from the major sites of Spoleto and many good restaurants and local bars. Although the parking may seem intimidating to those used to more space Gianpaolo was always available to lend a hand. We highly recommend both the Hotel Palazzo Leti and Spoleto.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The beautiful residence of the noble Leti family is located in the historic center of Spoleto. According to various sources, it seems that this was the first residence of the Leti family who arrived in Spoleto in 1500 but the family name became extinct at the beginning of the XIX century. due to a lack of male heirs. The Residence was built shortly after the medieval city walls were constructed (1292) using, in part, a pre existent Roman structure which you can still see walking along Via delle Felici. Recent restoration has revealed an important architectural, environmental and historic heritage not to mention a garden that has been restored in classic "Italian garden" style. From the garden one can admire the beautiful view of Monteluco and some of Spoleto's most important monuments including the Rocca Albornoziana, and St. Peter's Church. Rooms: The Historical Residence consists of 12 rooms, all of which are decorated with warm lightly coloured fabrics and organza. Each room, with its unique architecture, colour and decor is reminiscent of a noble room of the past. All rooms have a view of the sacred mountain of the Spoleto valley "Monteluco", which evokes the peace and the harmony of the hermits that once lived there. Facility: Soundproof, safe, mini bar, air conditioning, TV sat, internet access free. ... more   less
