What a wonderful gem. Tucked away on a quiet street, but walking distance to everything. We walked through the doors onto a beautiful terraced garden, overlooking the mountain, valley, ancient aqueduct and church. The hotel is equally as lovely. Meticulously maintained, with attention to details and craftsmanship. Our room was a good size, with a large antique mirror and stunning bedding and drapes. The pillows are a good quality feather pillow that cradles your tired head after a day of sightseeing. The towels are plush and soft. The owners, a husband and wife team are helpful and delightful........you feel as if they have welcomed you into their home. Breakfast has a nice selection of baked goods, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit and yogurt. The flakey pastry I enjoyed was great. They also have parking available at the hotel.

Patrzia, a tour and group specialist works with the hotel to provide the ultimate Umbrian experience to complete the ideal vacation.

Room Tip: -Enjoy a bottle of Sangrentino wine from Montefalco on their terrace. -Arrange some adventures wit...

My husband and I, and another couple of close friends, were fortunate to stay at the Palazzo Leti for 6 days recently. What a wonderful time we had. It was a great location to use as a base to explore Umbria and the husband and wife owners were a very big help in guiding us to interesting locations and restaurants. The service and hospitality was 5 star as were the clean and nicely decorated rooms, (we were in 303 and our friends were in 403). Most definitely a place to come back to in the future.

This is one of the most memorable stops on our travels through Italy. We were traveling through the region and stopped in Spoleto for the evening. Found beautiful rooms, grounds, and wonderful host. It was like stepping back in time. We would recommend without hesitation. The service was elegant. We had left a garment in the closet and they were kind enough to send to our last destination. Most grateful

This small family owned hotel is in a beautifully decorated old building, with a lovely peaceful garden with extensive views. The owners could not have been more helpful and welcoming and our stay was perfect in every way (apart from the wet weather, when they even provided us with umbrellas!). We would not hesitate to recommend staying here, although it is important to be aware that Spoleto is a hill town with alarmingly narrow streets leading up to the hotel, where parking is extremely tight. It therefore may not suit everyone.

Facing an 11 hour flight delay, I called the hotel to confirm I would be arriving very late, and to please hold my room. Later, after further delays, I eventually arrived in a dark, empty Spoleto Train Station after midnight. I called the hotel and asked them to arrange for a local taxi to pick me up. Instead, one of the owners drove to the station (on the opposite side of town), and brought me back to theirhotel. They offered to prepare some food after my long journey. In my experience, this kind of service is very rare.

The hotel is located in the historic center of Spoleto and within easy walking distance of the Duomo and other main sights. Being at the perimeter, and on a hill, it has splendid views of the surrounding countryside. My room was charming and perfectly clean. The furnishings were comfortable.

The generous breakfast consists of a selection of fruit juices, cereals, bread rolls, yoghurts, croissants and pastries, meats and cheeses and excellent coffee. It can be eaten in a charming dining room or out on a shaded terrace overlooking the hillside. There is a wonderful garden as well.

The owners were always attentive and very caring. This is a special hotel, run by the owners who look after their guests. I highly recommend Palazzo Leti and will certainly hope to stay there on my next visit to Spoleto. And I remain very greatful to the proprieters who 'rescued' me after a long arduous day of traveling.

When you walk into this property, you will pass first through the garden and see this stunning view over the Spoleto valley and right away you feel home. Then Laura and Gianpaolo will welcome you so warmly , you never want to leave . The lovely garden is a tranquil place to read a book and have an aperitivo. Our room had beautiful furnishings and was so comfortable. The owners are very very helpful . Gianpaolo showed us one day on the scooter how to get around town while we were following in the car.
The hotel is centrally located , right on the top , close to La Rocca and in five minutes you are in the centre.
A place to come back too and we will next year !

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The beautiful residence of the noble Leti family is located in the historic center of Spoleto. According to various sources, it seems that this was the first residence of the Leti family who arrived in Spoleto in 1500 but the family name became extinct at the beginning of the XIX century. due to a lack of male heirs. The Residence was built shortly after the medieval city walls were constructed (1292) using, in part, a pre existent Roman structure which you can still see walking along Via delle Felici. Recent restoration has revealed an important architectural, environmental and historic heritage not to mention a garden that has been restored in classic "Italian garden" style. From the garden one can admire the beautiful view of Monteluco and some of Spoleto's most important monuments including the Rocca Albornoziana, and St. Peter's Church. Rooms: The Historical Residence consists of 12 rooms, all of which are decorated with warm lightly coloured fabrics and organza. Each room, with its unique architecture, colour and decor is reminiscent of a noble room of the past. All rooms have a view of the sacred mountain of the Spoleto valley "Monteluco", which evokes the peace and the harmony of the hermits that once lived there. Facility: Soundproof, safe, mini bar, air conditioning, TV sat, internet access free. ... more   less
