The patron of this restaurant is certainly being given a hard time whilst Spoleto builds another escalator right next door to his patio – totally destroying any view and almost destroying any access. Passing trade will be zero!
Almost certainly because of this we were the only guests the evening we went. Such a shame as the food and service could not be faulted. Once our food had been prepared the patron came to chat to us (my wife practiced her Italian whilst he practiced his English) and during the evening he gave us lots of ideas of places to visit in our self-drive car.
My wife did not want a starter. I ordered a pasta and it arrived with an extra plate for my wife without prompting. My main course comprised of the best sausages I tasted in our whole week in Umbria. We had good local wine. To end the meal we were given fresh fruit and a liqueur on the house.
Even with the adjacent building work the restaurant is worth a visit so do not be put off!
