Dirty, small, everthing is ugly and smells very bad. Very expensive, for the same price you had very nices lodges on other towns. We dont feel safe here. The owner is not honest. There are other hotel in this town. For us this area of the Ruta 40 is not worth it. Better take the road throught Puerto Madryn you will save a lot of money and time.

The shower didn't work properly, the room was dirty, the halls poorly lit, the food was relatively expensive, and the service was non-existent. The problems are so conspicuous and solvable that one can only conclude that the owner is an unscrupulous wretch who only wants to squeeze the last few pesos out of the deteriorating structure. Chalten Travel uses the hotel as an overnight stop on the two day trip from El Chalten to Bariloche. They should select another hotel rather than inflict Belgrano on their hapless clients.

It might also be pointed out that the cost of Belgrano's miserable breakfast doubles if you order a second cup of coffee.

The hotel is the "required" overnight stop for the El Chalten Travel Route 40 adventure that includes a bus without a bathroom and rest stops in the open ditch. So it is not surprising that the rooms are dusty, noisy, and include a tiny shower with a shower curtain that doesn't fit. No included breakfast.

First of all, the tiny room and the corridor of the hotel smelt of cigarettes and I am a non smoker.

The room is cold, and dirty. There was a thick layer of dust on all surfaces in the room. The quilt cover had obvious stains. There were dust and debris everywhere on the floor. The bathroom was extremely cramped and dirty. It was obviously that shower was NOT cleaned before hand, there were soap scum in the shower. There is no heating in this place. The blanket provided was quite thick, so it was not too cold during sleep, when I managed to fall asleep.

I was here as part of a tour, if I have a choice I would not stay in this place.

Room Tip: Avoid this place if you can

Perito Moreno is more or less a place in the middle of nowhere. I suppose they have more campsites than Hostels. Hotels on the other hand they have enough. One of the few Hotels offering Dormrooms and dorm-prices is the Belgrano, although cheaper than the rest still pricy though. Breakfast is not included, the wifi is for free and the connection powerfull enough. The common room of the Hotel is beeing used as TV-room, restaurant, bar and mini-kiosco. The dinner I had was good, cheap and the portion big. The place is somehow old. There is no real luggage storage but you can leave your things at the reception.

Room Tip: All the hotels have more or less the same prices, single at 200 AR$, doubles at 300$, so the dorms of the belgrano are a rarity and often booked out.
