We stayed here over the Christmas break and I have to say it was a lovely place to stay.
A few minor points were:
1.Room very dated and the bathroom shower cubicle was very small and a little mouldy, very strange positioning of the toilet - you had to sit sideways on it as the shower glass was too close.
2. You cant pay for your drinks as you have them, you have to pay the next day at reception - found this very odd.
The food was lovely and plentiful and xmas day they came out with many courses, all of which were great. My daughter is a vegeterian and they catered for her really well.
The staff are amazing - they are so helpful and friendly and the reason the hotel was great.
Its not too far from the centre, about 7 minute stroll up hill and you at the ski schools.
As a family we would stay here again.

Travelled as a party of 6, so had 3 rooms. All were very clean. Room décor was dated but was comfortable. Bathrooms were new and there was always hot water. The two we had on the higher floors (304 and 305) had great views.

Food was great, especially for the price. 4 courses, starting with a large buffet for antipasti. A first and second course of which you had 3 options for each, and was different everyday. Didn't see anything that was repeated and everything we had was delicious. Plenty of veggie options! Followed by a dessert buffet. Waiting staff were very good. Breakfast is buffet style, everything is cold.

Small walk on a path to lifts. Hotel has free storage for skis and boots in one of the hire shops in the main area at the bottom of the slopes which was a great bonus. There is also a shuttle bus which stops outside the hotel, which we caught a few times. The hotel also provides tickets for these.

There is WiFi, to which you get a login for 2 hours. Although you can collect as many of the logins as you like. Signal is poor in room and when everyone is trying to use it after dinner. Could be something to improve on.

Speaking to the staff, they've had a recent change of manager which could explain some of the previous negative reviews.

Great value, would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: the higher front facing rooms have the best views. front facing tended to be the middle numbers out...

Budget priced hotel but ideal if you are going on a skiing holiday to ski ! Very friendly staff, good rooms and good food. Nothing was too much trouble and although dated décor - who cares ! Rooms and public areas always kept clean and tidy. 9 min mostly downhill walk to lift system. Would definitely consider going back.

Travelled as a family of four. Had booked a family room but ended up with two connecting rooms with own entrance hall which was more than we expected. Also had a great view over the mountains. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Heating was always on but we could open windows so it was not a problem. Food was plentiful and good and staff were very friendly and flexible in accommodating our choices. One member was a vegetarian which wasn't a problem for the staff as it was fine to go for a larger portion of one course and then skip another. Access to the slopes was too far to walk in ski boots , we hired a locker for skis which was free and also hired a locker for boots for €20 for 3 pairs which gave us the flexibility to walk home as the ski bus in the afternoons was not too frequent.
Like the previous review we were concerned before we went as the reviews were mixed but we found the hotel more than met our needs. It was not trying to pretend to be a luxury hotel but did what it did very well.

Room Tip: Request a room with mountain view

Went here as a group of 9 , children and adults. The check in process was very efficient and we were straight in our rooms. The rooms were quite small, but were clean and had plenty of storage. Our room was not too hot as the radiator had been turned off, but the windows did open if it did get warm. The food was good, salade course, pasta course, meat course and dessert, with 2 choices of each course. Breakfast was limited, cereals, croissants, ham, cheese, bread and a choice of coffee's, tea, juice and water.
The restaurant/bar girls were very polite, friendly and hard working and the reception staff were very helpful. The boot room at the hotel was big enough, we had no problems! We stored our skis at the slopes, for free, and used the hotel courtesy bus to get there, so no walking in boots.
The ski area was great, we had plenty of snow, and the area is very extensive. Easy access to all the other areas in the milkyway. The slopes were pretty quiet and no queing for lifts! Eating lunch on the slopes was also very reasonable.
Overall, for the money, i thought this hotel was great. After reading many poor reviews, we were tempted to change hotels. Glad we didn't! There was no entertainment in the hotel, but if you can be bothered there was things going on in the centre of sesteriere, and you could do evening activites through the rep.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of the slopes!

No complaints, more than adequate for it's purpose, 5 min walk to the slopes, that's about 4 1/2 more than we like. No frills, but all you need, food was really good, staff very friendly\ accommodating. Could do with more deserts, they go too quickly, plus the hotel is split between Scandies and Brits, separate areas...each raiding the other when things run out, not ideal..
Bit of a walk to the bars too, but that's not always a bad thing.
Ski room could be bigger, plus there was a dodgy smell outside the entrance..

I would recommend it.

Room Tip: Keep away from stairs\lifts, noisy when people come home late
