Passing by we saw the sign Veggie Fine Dining and were intrigued. Stopped turned around and we treated to on of the best meals ever. The menu is extensive, with daily specials, and caters for Vegans and has many Gluten Free options.
I had the veggie roast and Tim had savoury pancakes My roast was amazing with chunky chips were excellent, the vegetables cooked to perfection. We succumbed to pudding, my chocolate tart and raspberry tart was great with super ice cream. Tim had apple crumble which he says is the best he ever tasted and he is somewhat of a pudding afficionado.
Excellent service and very reasonably priced in a friendly atmosphere. BOOK, we were lucky to get a table as the Red Lion was pretty much booked solid and on a March Thursday!
We will certainly go back with our friends, one of whom is gluten intolerant.
They do frozen take-aways at a very reasonable price too so you can cook them at home. We bought 3 to try.
