We took our children and grandchildren (17 people all together) to Tenuta Lonciano, april 2017 and stayed there for one week. What a place !! The view is fantastick, the bulidings are beautiful and all the rooms have a special design. The Toscany dinner which were made for us by a lokal chef, was delecious. The service was top and we will recomend this place for everybody.
So, thank you Daniele for your hospitality and for six unforgettable days.
All the best from Bente & Arne from Norway

Room Tip: Fantastisk beliggenhet. Passer utmerket for "storfamilier"

We had a wonderful time hiking in nearby Monte Morello and lounging on the terraza at Tenuta Lonciano. The property is a lovely, converted convent of stone in the hills above Florence that has been carefully updated to incorporate modern amenities while retaining all the charm of the original structure. Delicious and substantial breakfasts are included in the very reasonable price, and our hosts were lovely.

The photos of the grounds and amenities don't really do justice to how wonderful the Tenuta Torciano is. We were welcomed by Paulo and shown around the grounds. The views are extraordinary. The breakfast buffet was offered quite a variety of delicious foods. Our room and bed were very comfortable. This is now our favorite hotel in Europe!

This is a stunning beauty surprisingly close to Firenze! It's in an old converted convent with amazing architecture, windows, fittings, rooms and art. It includes outdoor gardens, whirlpool hot tub and views to die for. It's situated in a working olive plantation loving cared for by its delightful proprietors Daniele and Massimo. Take just a small effort to leave the bustle of Firenze behind (a simple short train connection to Sesto Fiorentino or an easy drive) and you will find a hidden nook of Italy with the charm of history and the comforts of today.

Parts of this villa ( an old convent ) date back to the 13th century but it has been well-restored and decorated for its current use. The bedrooms and bathrooms are fine and comfortable, there is a large area for dining and an adequate kitchen. We were self-catering having rented the whole property for 8 days but full B&B facilities are available. The grounds are lovely with a pool and hot tub, plenty of seating and a BBQ : the views are super with great sunsets. It is definitely a place for good weather and being outdoors. Daniele, the owner-manager, is friendly and helpful and he can organise whatever you may need ( we had a dinner for 18 catered by two chefs recommended by him and it was very good indeed ). However, be prepared that it is not easy to find as it sits on a ridge high above Sesto Fiorentino with some seriously winding narrow roads : it is beneficial to programme your satnav with the GPS coordinates to save much frustration! All in all, a great place to stay in the Florence area.
