We were supposed to stay somewhere else but they doubled booked and didn't tell us. So the company that made the mistake sent us to this horrible place, which actually was more expensive. As we had wasted hours trying to find an alternative we decided to stay.

Big mistake, the hotel is so old, and the furniture and everything... It is like someone inherited this old mansion, can't afford it and converted it badly into a hotel they can't afford to run either.

The rooms are tiny, badly decorated, no aircon so they gave us a fan that blows hot air... The first fan didn't work at all.

The pictures promoting the hotel are deceiving.

Needless to say I would no go back even for free.

We arrived at night, and a nice worker took us up to our room after taking our IDs for the check-in. We were expecting a romantic place, but the actual room was very small, naked and cold with old, creepy decor...so creepy, we sometimes felt like we were in a horror film. The room was very tight spaced. The bed was very uncomfortable, and you could hear people's conversations and every movement from other guests in the place. Instead of romantically aged and charming, this place was full of hoarded items flowing out of the entryways and narrow hallways with dirty, old carpet. The first night we decided to have a dinner in Florence which was a 30 minute drive away. When trying to leave, they asked us to leave the key in exchange for our IDs they took for check-in. They also wanted to keep my wife's passport overnight, which of course I didn't allow. The second evening, we decided we did not want to continue our stay at this Villa and actually started looking for other hotels to book. However, we had already spent money here and wanted to try to make the most of it. The staff we encountered were very friendly but everything seemed disorganized. We ended up leaving one night early (even though we had already paid) and added a night onto our stay in Rome instead. We will definitely be back in Tuscany someday, but certainly will not be back at Villa Villoresi.

I decided to make a review to make sure I will go back to next time I am in Florence.
It is a night at the Castle!
Must do, must try, just for another great souvenir.
Do not expect to be like your Four Seasons hotel
Just try it!

Photos are very deceiving, property is very dated and the pool is falling apart. Bathroom was extremely unhygienic and room was not pleasant. Experience overall felt like a hostel, not a hotel. Would not recommend

Dear customer,
Our Hotel is a Villa Hotel ! It is a National Monument, protected by Fine Arts and dates back to the Middle Age ! If you expected a standard Hotel where all rooms are similar, then you should have chosen another place...We are sorry you didn't like it; when our customer come here that kind of atmosphere is exactly what they appreciate, and they feel like they're home.
Kind regards,
Villa Villoresi

Supposedly close to the airport but our taxi driver had problems locating it. Although a beautiful historic building - it is very dilapidated. We were allocated aN EXTREMELY basic room down a corridor - not at all like the photos. It had a most uncomfortable bed, basic bathroom and amenities.
We were shown around as the owner was very proud of her family home but we were made to feel that we were being tolerated and not at all welcome.
Sadly, although an interesting place to stay, it lacks hospitality and we would not want to return.

Room Tip: Not at all sure if there are any or how you would access them as ours was so unlike the one illustrated
