“Hip, Stylish and Oh The Food!!”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

Recommended by Costanza at Villa Il Paradisino, we had such an amazing meal at Aqaba. Not knowing what to expect or perhaps expecting a more traditional Tuscan experience, the restaurant was sophisticated and hip and the food was outstanding!!

“Really great restaurant”
Reviewed November 29, 2013

Aqaba offers the best in contempory European and Italian cuisine. Meals are beautifully prepared, and the wines compliment the food in the finest way. Everytime I visit Florence, it is always a treat to eat at Aqaba

“Stunning location, good food”
Reviewed August 18, 2013

Inside a park, the beautiful architecture and cool interiors of Aqaba is a gem way outside the tourist track (if any in Sesto). Italian crowd filled the large outdoors and indoors space within half an hour on a warm Sunday evening. The guests are a mix of families and couples, and groups of twenty-somethings. The pizza is ok, but the big surprise was the big seafood dish - excellent and well composed. A bit on the expensive side, though, and while we did not miss other tourists, we missed both a smile and a little knowledge of the English language among the young group of waiters, who did not mind having a chat together instead of taking care of the guests. The poor service explainsn why Aqaba doesn´t get the the top score, and thanks to the food and the elegant location the rating isn´t lower considering the amateurish staff. Well worth a visit, though, and beyond doubt the best restaurant in town.

“Best family place ever”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

I shall warn before hand that there is a bias to this review: I love this place and go there every now and then to enjoy peaceful and quality moments with the family.
Settings are very surprising and the use of a map is strongly recommended. But once you're there, you just enjoy the lovely terrazza, the fountains and the flowers, the adorable staff, the great cuising and the fabulous wine list.
This is a place where delicate food accompanies the good moments you want to share, in a relaxed mode. tables are large and comfortable and you never feel any intrusion from too close neighbours. Everything smooth, enjoyable, everything actually takes you back there.
Dont' say I didn't warn you, there is a bias !

“Continental Cuisine in the heart of Tuscany”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

If you are expecting traditional Italian fare, you may not find it here. That being said, the food is wonderful. The seafood is fresh and well prepared. The service is excellent. When you are looking for more European cuisine, this is definitely the place to go.
