After a little issue finding how to reach the hotel (you actually need to park 200 metres away and some Nepalese women will carry your bags ... bit weird) we thoroughly enjoyed it. Bandipur is off the track with not a lot to do but it does break the journey between Pokahra and Chitwan. The building is typically Newari and is being extended. You can't help but think it is trying to compete with the Old Inn next door. Rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. If you're wanting to relax watching TV ... forget it, there is none. If you want to jump on wifi .... forget it, it's not available either. Not that this was a problem - it was great to just sit back under the candle light and read a book .... that was until the dogs started. I was never so grateful to hear rain because it meant the dogs were undercover somewhere and fighting with each other all night. I know this is nothing to do with the hotel but I would say, don't expect a great night's sleep. After the dogs have been flighting all night the sound of roosters will wake you a day break. The service was fantastic and most impressive however was the food. Fresh pomegranate for breakfast, delicious rice for dinner. The beautiful rooms (although low ceilings so watch your head) and the food were a stand-out but bring out your ear plugs when you want to have a decent night's sleep.
