We booked the day before - looking for a family room with 2 adults and 1 child. We chose the hotel because it had good reviews, had its own shuttle and looked bright and interesting.
We were not disappointed . The hotel was very new and the rooms very comfortable and tastefully decorated, being light and airy rather than dark and claustrophobic as some traditional alpine resorts can appear. ( As another reviewer mentioned the bathroom door being plan glass seemed a strange choice, I could imagine it causing embarrassment in various circumstances )
We all slept very soundly, comfortable beds and no external noise. The balcony for each room would be lovely in spring or summer months,
After a hard days skiing we had built up a good appetite and the afternoon cakes served in the bar between 3 and 6 and excellent restaurant with daily 4 o 5 course meals - more than catered for this (with a decent wine list specialising in regional wines) . All the waiting staff - were very polite, helpful and friendly.
All this underpinned with wonderful service from all hotel staff especially Lorenza who even helped organise our skiing lessons . She was always on hand to provide local knowledge or support customers requests ( We needed some colour pens for our daughters homework).
The hotel is a little out of town - for us going back and forth to the ski resort - there is an excellent shuttle service provided by the hotel and you never have to wait more than 5 minutes to be picked up. However, any one looking to be situated in the centre of town might be disappointed. Overall I think this is a very elegant hotel with very helpful staff, good quality restaurant with excellent staff.
