“Try walking the valley”
Reviewed September 8, 2012

Follow the old first world war railway line from Selva to Ortisei. It's a good walk if you struggle with mountain terrain as it is on the flat.

“Great place!”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

Wow what a place! Took a train up one of the mountains from Ortisai, then walked down 3 hours - which wasn't too tough - my 7 month pregnant wife did it! The area is amazing, just the fact that there are houses there is fascinating. If you are reading this thinking about visiting, don't think twice!

“Wonderful walking area”
Reviewed August 26, 2012

All the paths are clearly marked and many even tell you how long it will take to get to your destination. It's almost impossible to get lost. Many of the paths are very challenging as it's a mountainous area but there are also many low level buggy friendly paths for a gentle stroll. I was there in August and it was very hot (28C most days) but it was nice and cool walking through the woodland. A ski pass is good value as it allows you to use 12 different ski lifts and also all the local buses you can whizz around without constantly having to dig for cash. The 6 day pass costs 78 euros but is well worth it as this includes your 7 day but pass too.
