Nice selection of red runs and an excellent blue area for the not so confident. Good vibe on the slopes.

Too many small lifts when getting back to Ciampinoi main lift at the end of the day as you work your way across the bottom of the mountain. But an excellent place to ski.

Ciampinoi is one of the entries to Dolomiti Superski area. From here you can do the ski slopes from Val Gardena, or you can enter the Sella Ronda ski tour. There are a lot of ski slopes that you can choose from, and they are not very crowded. landscape is magnificent (from every slope you can see the unique shape of the Dolomites.

We were there in the third week of September. The weather was nice (a bit chilly in the shade) and you get to see the gruppo Sella and Sassolungo up close right after you step off the cable car. You'd also see the Gruppo Stevia on the opposite side of the valley from a distance. If time allows, hike to Sellajoch and ride the cable car to the Forcella Sassolungo (about 1.5 hour one way, including photo breaks). There are steep slopes on the way back, but not too strenuous.

We just stepped unto the Gondola for a smooth ride giving beautiful views of Selva and the mountains. At the top there were great views of mountains in every direction. From the top we were able to take a memorable 2 hour walk( ref 21A and 526 to Sellajoch. The tinkling of the cow bells as we walked along was magical and there were lovely wild flower on the banks. The rif.Comici about half way provided great refreshment and facilities. We continued through "Rock City" where there stunning rock formations. At Sellajoch we were able to get a bus back to Selva Altogether a menorable day
