Excellent hotel in a beautiful valley. Run by a dedicated family, who are constantly on hand to attend to your needs. They really do care about their hotel and their guests. We felt incredibly well looked after. Very well appointed rooms, huge bathroom, clean, spacious, comfortable. We had a junior suite which comprised of master bedroom - huge, bathroom and a small side room with two beds. We felt that was just fine. Really nice wellness area with saunas, steamroom, vitarium, huge Jacuzzi, complimentary snacks and cold drinks. Large indoor pool with a jet if you want to swim 'laps'. totally underused but well equipped gym. Great place to come back to in the afternoon to relax. Garden with loungers by the stream. The hotel does breakfast only in summer, continental style with a wide range of pastries, breads, cold meats, cheese, muesli, fruit etc. Couple of times we were invited to have cake in the afternoon - how lovely. Plenty of pizzerias and restaurants to eat in in the evening within few minutes of walking.
Free bikes available for hotel guests - great bonus, pool table to entertain the teens.
We would love to go back in winter to ski as it is in an excellent location for the lifts and ski slopes and we hope to come back in summer again.

Room Tip: Talk to the owners about your needs, they were very helpful in advising us about room size and location. some rooms face the main road, some have balconies and face the mountains. Tell them what matters to you - view, size etc.

The hotel's management deliver a very high level of service.
The hotel rooms have recently been upgraded to "Lodge Style" so more modern not so Tyrolean but of high quality.
A very good well managed family run small hotel.

If you are a dedicated Skiier with an equal dedication to relaxation, restoration and good food - you will be hard pushed to match the Laurin. In Selva, the Dolomites or anywhere. Food is absolutely top - goes both for breakfast & 5 course dinner. The location is just right for that essential early start. The hotel is small and uncrowded, the service provided by Astrid, Giorgi and the staff is personal, friendly, discreet and 100% professional. Our rooms were spacious, renovated and spotlessly clean. We came this winter for our second stay and will come again.

By every standard this is a really good hotel. Situated right in the skiing centre of Selva beside the main lifts and the end of the runs, and beside the ski hire shops and skipass office. The reception is welcoming and friendly and the attention to detail tireless. The clientele is international and varied and the staff charming, intelligent, discreet and helpful. The hotel is managed and run by the owners who grew up in the village and are available at all times to give advice and help.
The dining room is well appointed and equally suited to tables of ten persons as of two. The food is at the very top of the range expected in a half-board arrangement, the wine list is well structured, reasonably priced and easy to follow. The waiters are well informed and are accurate in their knowledge of the wines they offer. The menus are well chosen and in our nine day stay there were no repeats and always a good variety of choice at each course. No course is treated as of little consequence and the portion sizes were neither small nor overpowering. The Wellness Centre is attractive, the fitness room well appointed and underused, the swimming pool is a constant 31.5 degrees C, the ski room is entered directly from the street and served internally by the lift or stairs.
The rooms are comfortable and modern in layout, some of the older guests do not like the bathroom door arrangements in some rooms which offer little screening both from the room and from the light which is sensor activated during a night visit. A well placed curtain or screen would remove this concern.
The hotel is well insulated both from draughts and from sound, the bar is well appointed and the service swift.
We shall stay here again.

Room Tip: All rooms are of a very high standard. Book with confidence.

For 9 days the Family partnership and proprietorship of Gregor and Astrid welcomed and guided our team of six experienced travellers and skiers. It was a wonderful time. This is a commited Family who must love what they do. All day and evening our Hosts were in evidence attending to the pleasure of their guests and giving every detailed attention to a young but experinced and committed staff. The hotel, its people, location, access to passes, skis, and lifts were all very pleasing. We would be delighted to repeat the adventure, and benefit from past-experience and stay here again in the coming year. Hotel Laurin sets high standards of welcome and the Owners are hands-on, accommodating, and show huge attention to the fine detail of running an excellent Hotel.

For emphasis, we loved the hotel, area, and the charming and able team-Laurin! There was such attention to detail and commitment from the proprietors in making us all feel welcome, and showing us how and when to enjoy the high and polished standards they set themselves and their charming young team. We did have a lot of fun.

Room Tip: Speak to the owners about your preferences and trust thier judgement on your behalf.
