“BEST HOTEL I'VE EVER STAYED AT!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Excellent hotel, the most friendly staff, great location, delicious food, access to beach and pool. I would highly recommend this hotel and I look forward to staying at this hotel again in the future. The staff go out of their way to make you happy. The food in the restaurant is delicious and the breakfast is the best I've ever had in a hotel. If you don't stay here you are missing out on a fabulous hotel!!

Room Tip: I stayed in Room 350 and it was fabulous with a great view!!

We stayed here for our honeymoon and had a sea-view room. The room was nice, but the view was incredible. The breakfast every morning was delicious and again wonderful views. The staff was so friendly and the bartender (Gennaro) was fun! There were weddings every night and those could get loud, along with the guests when they went to bed. Overall, a great choice for our honeymoon

Room Tip: Sea View would be the only way to go

Location is faboulus, close enough to the center of the city and directly on the ocean with the wonderful views. The personel is absolutely charming and engaging. The food is excellent.

It is important to note that we DID NOT STAY in Hotel Corallo. The hotel hosted our wedding ceremony and reception, and they did it marvelously! I definitely recommend checking out this hotel for a destination wedding. The scenery was so beautiful out on the terrace (which is completely private) with the cliffs and the sunset. The hotel management (Michele Maresca specifically) arranged almost everything for us. They put us in contact with our florist, photographer and band. Their food was soooo delicious, and the night was just magical! We could not have had a better experience. Everything was perfect.

The best thing about Hotel Corallo is its stunning location! With multiple balconies and terraces, the hotel makes maximum use of the spectacular views. However, given the spectacular location, one may be forgiven for also expecting a spectacular hotel. Sadly, the hotel does not quite deliver.
Beware Executive Room 456 - having paid extra to get a room with a large private terrace, I was extremely disappointed to find that our Executive room was positioned right above the busy restaurant terrace on one side and the car-park on the other! The room's terrace was completely over-looked and defeated the purpose entirely of booking a room with a private terrace. There was also no divider between our terrace and the neighboring room's balcony. The other Exec rooms (there are only 3 in total) seem to have more privacy - the hotel should therefore charge less for room 456. Avoid if possible.
Breakfast is decent, with good coffee and reception staff are helpful. I agree with other reviewers that the hair dryer in the bathroom was pretty much useless.
The other important point to note is the distance the hotel is from Sorrento town center - it is a good 40 minute walk (hardly 15-20 mins as some other reviewers state, unless you are a speed walker!). Taxis in Sorrento are also ridiculously expensive - we were charged nearly 20 euros for a 5 minute cab journey!

Room Tip: Avoid paying extra for Exec Room 456! Terrace is completely over-looked and not at all private.

Nice, quiet location but not really near anything within walking distance. But we were on a tour so it provided good accommodations for the two days we toured the area. Great view of the Med from the lobby atrium. Our room was the first one up the stairs from the lobby on the street side. It's a narrow street with almost no traffic. Small room but large bathroom. The shower temperature would change during use and it was a cramped enclosure but adequate. The closet and luggage stand were convenient for two travelers with some drawer space if you were on an extended stay. There is a small balcony on our room (457) but, as stated, a view of the town and hill but not much else. The lobby is on level 3, not 0 as is customary. The breakfast room was down two levels. All this since the hotel, and most other buildings, are on steep hills. I can't rate the value since our stay was part of our two week tour. All in all, a nice, clean hotel with a bar in the lobby and a view of the sea.

Room Tip: For those driving to the hotel, there could be parking problems.
