Recently spend 10 days in a junior suite on this resort. The location is perfect. My daughter and I enjoyed our stay surrounded by lemon and orange trees. The staff has just the right mix of professional, courteous and friendly service. Sabrina was especially helpful in assisting with recommending day trips, activities, mustt "see" locations and restaurants in the area.

Room Tip: If you need space the junior suite is great

I stayed here for 6 nights with a friend at the beginning of June - we booked a studio apartment with twin beds for a special offer price which was very good value and included breakfast. When we arrived at the resort we were upgraded to a 1 bed studio which had twin beds in the main room, with kitchen area etc and then a seperate double bedroom which was great for us to be able to have the extra space and privacy at the same bargain cost.
We were greeted at reception by Sabrina who was extremely helpful and friendly as were all the staff we encountered.
The apartment was great - the double bedroom looked like it had been refurbished but maybe not the main area but it was still nice and what we were expecting if not better. The beds were a little interesting - the two twin beds were ridiculously soft, I suffer from a bad back so could not have slept on it and would have had to put the mattress on the floor (however my friend slept fine on them). I was lucky to have the double room as it had a rock hard mattress - great for my back but the hardest mattress i've ever slept on so again perhaps not great for some people! We were so tired at the end of each day sightseeing we could have slept on anything though I think.
The pool area is beautfiul - when we went it was very quiet and always spare sunbeds. It is tranquil and pretty with lemon and orange trees surrounding it. The water wasn't too cold either. The pool bar was unexpected as it wasn't so busy but although it was pretty basis - drinks, and crisps and only the choice of two pitta bread sandwhiches for lunch it was adequate if you wanted a day by the pool.
5 min walk to supermarket - we were on a budget so made lunches in the kitchen area everyday to take with us on trips out so was good to have this facilty. We had read other reviews about what the kitchen area was equipped with and so brought with us some washing up liquid and tea towels. The hob is gas so we also had to go out and buy some matches and left them for the next people but might be an idea to pack those too - especially if you want a cup of tea as there is no kettle so have to boil a saucepan for it.
The breakfast was fine - lovely breakfast area to sit in , light and airy and modern (some dodgy tunes playing on the cd though!!). It was fine for what we wanted - yoghurts, bread, jam, tinned fruit cocktail etc, pretty basic but again very good for the price we paid. There were cakes and things on offer for breakfast too but didn't fancy that at 8am!
Reception said to us it was about a 25 minute walk into sorrento - we tried the first evening and it took as at least 40 if not longer! We only did it the once in the end and preferred to get the train. The trains are ok and only 2 mins to sorrento but only run every half an hour so not overly convenient but not bad. Its only 1,20 E each way too. There is a bus stop outside the hotel but we never used it as you can't buy tickets on the bus you have to get them from newsagents or station and we were never organised enough to have a spare ticket when we needed it!
We ate in Sorrento a couple of times but also Sant Agnello when we didn't want to go back in to Sorrento - not a huge choice of places but if you turn left out of the resort there is a sign to Moonlight which was a pretty cheap and fairly nice restaurant. Then there is also La Terraza i think it was called which looks a bit like a cafe but does reasonable evening meals but with a stunning view over the sea. Again turn left out of the resort, not right towards Sant Agnello town. We sat here one night having dinner and watched the sun set and then the lights come on in sorrento - great photo opportunities and amazing to have a seat outside with such a great view for the price of a 10 euro plate of pasta!
We were glad we stayed at Espiridi resort , we had a lovely stay, and I think it was better than staying in sorrento unless you can afford to stay in a luxurious hotel with a pool. But for our budget this was by far the best option and I think we would both return and I would recommend it to others.
One last negative while i remember - a slight sewer smell in the bathroom but we just kept the door shut and the window open and it wasn't too bad but might be something to be aware of. Also we unfortunately had the bathroom light shade explode shattering glass everywhere - very lucky neither of us were standing under it - the glass went everywhere - now this could happen anywhere to anyone so its not a criticism of the resort, but a positive as straight away a maid came along when she heard it and cleaned it up for us, and then that afternoon when the housekeeping came to the apartment the light was fixed.

Have just spent a week in the private villa at Espiridi with my son and his family. Spacious 3 bed 2 bath with outside space and had a great time. The one thing which marred this was the plumbing in the en-suite. The basin, shower and bidet seem to have no u-bend so the sewage smells are forever present and at night were almost intolerable. Like sleeping in a gas chamber. Lovely staff tried their best to mask these but not something that could be solved without total re-furb. Fantastic pool area which my grandsons made use of at least twice a day!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The pool was fantastic and surrounded by Orange and Lemon trees. This part of the resort looks brand new as does the relaxation area - called Jackie Hall - and the breakfast area. The rooms/chalets are comfortable but not as new. The shower was great in our room and the cooking facilities adequate. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Also there is a supermarket about 5 minutes walk away which we found very useful. Becasue the pool is large and communal our 6 year old made friends and so he really enjoyed the holiday.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay at the Esperidi resort and Sant'Agnello is a quaint and friendly town. The resort has a fantastic pool and all the other residents and staff were respectful and friendly. We had a basic bungalow which was very small but at the price that we paid, we couldn't complain. It was also a bonus that wifi was available around the resort.

The walk to Sorrento does take around 40 minutes but if you take the route that is closest to the coast, the scenery is lovely. You can also get the train to Sorrento in 2 minutes if you don't fancy the walk!

We had a wonderful experience at Esperidi, the rooms and entire resort are very clean and well-maintained. If you don't mind taking the train into town, the distance may not bother you. Just be informed that it is a solid 40 minute walk to the center piazza of Sorrento. The trains and buses are also about 2.40 euros each way. The resort itself is engulfed in beautiful orange and lemon trees, and a modern, sleek interior. I am a bit wary of their "4-star" rating. I would give it "3 1/2" stars myself. The breakfast is basic but acceptable, it would have been nice to see some hot items or some fresh cut fruit. We stayed in an upgraded bungalow, and the interior wasn't the modern interior we saw online, I believe one of the rooms has it but I am not sure which one. If that is the look you are going for I would request it. Overall our stay was very enjoyable, especially for such a good price!

Room Tip: Ask for the modern-interior room, the one they have on their website.

I have just come back from a stay at the Esperidi Resort and what can I say, the staff are so helpful, smilely and friendly and really make your stay welcoming. We spent every day, apart from 2 days, relaxing by the pool and having a joke with Claudio. The only thing we found to be a shame is that there wasn't much of a choice when it came to having lunch, unless you buy something from the shops or go somewhere you pretty much only have a sandwich or crisps to choose from, apart from days when they have the cooking school.
We booked a bungalow, even though the cleaning standards are great we were a little disappointed with the size of the room and also the mattress on the bed (ours was very uncomfortable) It's a shame they don't have photo's of their basic bungalows on their website as we would have upgraded if we had seen photo's.
The resort is about a 20 min walk from Sorrento centre but the walk isn't hard baring, going along the scenic route is most enjoyable. It sounds like it is far but it isn't, you are just the right distance away from the centre and the noise.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Sorrento and at the Esperidi Resort, the staff are just so friendly, if we were to go back to Sorrento we would definately be staying at the Esperidi.
