We stopped for lunch at Baita Gamsblut Hutte on several occasions while on a skiing holiday in the Dolomites. One is spoiled for choice when it comes to dining in this beautiful mountainous region as there are a good number of interesting restaurants. Rebuilt only a few years ago this restaurant offers a warm and friendly atmosphere decorated in traditional mountain hutte style. The goulash soup and the cold cut platter were particularly good but the individual sausage/salami at 6 Euros for 1 salami/sausage was a bit over the top price wise. The house wine was very good but expansive at 14 Euros for a litre. The service was good on one occasion and slow the second time round all be it the place was packed. The hutte is very conveniently located on the ski slopes.
